- Room with direct access to the pool - Pool very clean, and big - luck with other guests, not reserving pool chairs (besides 1 or 2 of them) - breakfast with variety for a Portuguese Mediterranean diet - room well cleaned - big places to know around the hotel - we can exange towels every day for the pool or spa

- Courtesy water was only given on the first day - In one day, the cleaning crew left the windows opened in a room with easy access from the pool, not safe at all. - lack of sound isolation, either between rooms and from the aisle

The tennis court, outside swimming pool, and inner spa felt great and good value for money, unlike other hotels in which I stayed in the past. All of them were comfortable. The spa was not crowded, at least not on my first day (Thursday). We did share it with two families, but there was plenty of space to enjoy and have some privacy. On my second day (Friday, which was a national holiday), the hotel parking lot was filled, and breakfast had way more guests too. I did not use the Spa facilities that day, but I reckon it would be less interesting or comfortable. I'd avoid going on "crowd" weekends.

Allegedly there are farm animals within the hotel boundaries, but you can only see them from afar, the entry to their "park" is walled and gated. The best you can see are the chickens next to a fence. That's okay, I assume they want to ensure animals remain calm and comfortable, but in that case the hotel should not advertise the presence of animals as a "feature".

Clean, modern, out of the city but with options nearby. Extra points for having a kettle in the room and have the outdoor pool ready for a hot day out of the season. Both things are very rare in Portugal.

The breakfast was ok, eggs, coffee and sausages were horrible though. The air conditioning couldn't cool the room below 25C, and that was cooler than inside the mini fridge (incapable of chilling any drink), I ended up sleeping with the balcony door open. The staff could smile more, they weren't ruse, but didn't look very friendly either. Also the SPA needs to be controlled, there were children jumping into the pool and people without the hair cap. Sunday morning it was impossible to relax in the SPA because felt like a public pool, silence should be required.

I loved the spa, the pool, the staff were excellent and the rooms were very adequate.

The room didn't have enough hangers or outlets, we had to pay at check in instead of check out. And the staff came in the room even with the do not disturb sign.

Amazing and super complete breakfast, fantastic spa area and very friendly staff. The complex were the hotel is located has a restaurant, a bar and an amazing garden with a lake that makes it ideal for a great stay without feeling the need to grab the car to go anywhere else.

I know some of the rooms are more recent than others. Unfortunately we stayed in the older ones that were a bit out-dated but that didn't change how amazing our stay was.

The hotel is located in a nice place. It has a very nice swimming pool. The dinner was very good, breakfast was good. The hotel is nicer from the outside as from the inside. You can park outside easily.

The furniture in the room is old-fashioned. There were no drinks in the minibar, the hotel has no safe.

A workout room would be great. While there are great outdoor spaces for exercise, its difficult to be outdoors in the winter when its raining.

The property was fantastic it had a great location and the service was excellent. I wanted to extend my gratitude to Pedro for assisting me and my sister, and for all his help. He is the kindest and hard worker.

Very comfortable hotel. Spa and outside pool outstanding and very convenient. Dinner very good in the restaurant. Bed very comfortable and nice bed linen

Nothing but a little bit out of the way for the Camino. Not too far if walking along the Ecovia

Breakfast had good variety of breads, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, scrambled eggs, etc. Just wished coffee was hotter. Location was good and food at Dom Julio was great. Service too.

Better toiletries—actual conditioner and body lotion would be nice.
