I liked the room. It's got a good location too, it's a nice neighbourhood to walk around (clean streets, beautiful houses, a nice park, etc.), and it was about 15 minutes walk from the ocean. When we went for our morning run, we could even reach Santa Monica Pier. The bed was super-super comfortable, and the air was clean - my partner is allergic to dustmite and this was the first hotel in a very long time where he was completely fine in.

The room doesn't have its own hairdryer, but you could go down to the reception and ask for one (and if you do, they give you a better-than-hotel-average-one), however if you've already washed your hair and just gotten out of the shower, it's uncomfortable going down to the reception - especially that you have to go outside for it (when we were visiting, it was cold and rainy), and there is no telephone in the room to ring the reception to come and bring one. If you have a partner who will go there and get it for you, then no problem :) There is no microwave or coffee machine IN THE ROOM either (there are both at the reception that you can use if you go there, though.)

By the main road meant you could hear the traffic in the distance & it was quite light in the morning as the blinds didn’t shut out all of the light

The location is awesome. It's super close to the beach, there are eateries close by like McDonald's, Chick-Fil-A, and Carl's Jr. For grocery shopping, Gelson's is directly up the street. There's also a laundromat about 2 blocks away. For artists, there is a Blick materials store close to where the laundromat is, as well. For those needing public transit, the #3 Big Blue Bus runs down Lincoln, and it will take you straight to the Expo train line in downtown Santa Monica.

The beds aren't very great. They're kind of uncomfortable and a little loud when you move around where sometimes it feels like the bed is falling apart. The bathroom we had wasn't great, either. The way that the toilet was situated made it virtually impossible to be able to get into the shower without hitting the toilet, which made it super uncomfortable. There's, also, a solution that the cleaning staff used to clean the floors and bathrooms that made me feel a little nauseous by the smell. Same may feel differently, but I didn't care for it. Also, because Lincoln is a very busy street, you will hear the sound of the street traffic in both the AMs and PMs.

The staff was great! Super friendly and helpful!! 10/10!!!! The room was tidy and comfortable!

Two very very small things. One, the A/C unit makes a weird sound like a fog horn when it’s on and for like an hour after it’s been turned off. I’m a light sleeper so the first night it woke me up…just keep the unit off for a bit before you go to sleep! And second, and this was just…odd…the platform of the bed is covered in black sheet metal so when I approached the bed I kept kicking it and it’d make that sheet metal thunder sound. Kind of hilarious actually😂

This property was a great value and also offered free parking. Which in LA is hard to find. This hotel is dated, but exceptionally clean and the bed was super comfortable.

On an extremely busy street, Lincoln Blvd, a main artery through Santa Monica, on the way to LAX.

Good enough location- half an hour walk from the pier and the area felt safe. Lovely courtyard. Clean and comfortable room. Free parking- we had no problems but it is first come, first served and quite a small lot. Family room was small but separate beds for the teenagers were great with one in a little separate part of the room.

It is on a busy road so not quiet but we still slept OK. Coffee only available in the lobby. Bathroom could do with updating but worked perfectly well

The bed was comfortable. There were an adequate number of power outlets, with two AC outlets and at least one USB power port on the front of each nightstand on the two sides of the bed. The air conditioning had a digital thermostat to control the heating and cooling. Did not use the cooling function since it was cold, but the heat worked as expected. Bath room and shower were small, but adequate. Free coffee and water were available in the office (when open), with canned soda available for a charge.

Office was closed from midnight until 7:00 am, so no coffee during those hours. Room for toiletries in the bathroom was very limited. My shower stall door closure mechanism was broken, but the bottom of the door rubbing on the step kept the shower door close enough to being closed. No step or seat in the shower stall, but there was a shelf for soap and shampoo. No bar soap, only a liquid soap dispenser next to the sink and shower gel and shampoo dispensers in the shower.

Relatively close to the beach,bus stops nearby with regular buses,very nice room and big pillows and a fridge were a plus,staff were friendly and Santa Monica itself is a lovely place to visit

Room walls very thin so you can hear everything,including one guest screaming from the other side of the building. Something was also scurrying around above our roof,I assume it was a rat. Could also hear the water everytime another room had a shower

It was not far from the beach, 20 min walk. 30-40 min walk from Santa Monica pier. It was clean and just fine for 2 nights. Coffee was good. We felt save in this neighbourhood. We could park normally every time but in the afternoons we saw parking lot was always full. Groceries shop just 3 min walk away.

A little pricey for what you get but I guess LA prices are like that. I read previous reviews and it is loud indeed (busy street) but for me personally it didn’t matter, I slept good.

Check-in was quick and easy and the receptionist was helpful locating a nearby diner. The room was small, but clean and comfortable, and there was a nice open patio area where we could eat if we wanted. The location was quiet and an easy 30 minute walk to the sea-front.

The air con unit was effective, but it 'defrosted' (or whatever air con units do) about every 20 minutes and was very noisy doing it, so we had to switch it off.
