Great food every day.

I did not like the non-disclosure to the guest about children not being part of the payment for breakfast. It was written in the booking app that all guests, including the child is included in the price for breakfast. It did not say anything about paying for the child separately for breakfast

The hotel offers amazing value. Beautiful views. Nice rooms. 5 star common areas and pool. Wonderful food. I have been a long term guest there. When Bookings.com had a better rate, I recently switched to them. My first stay was perfect. When I extended my stay, which I booked and the exact same fashion, paying extra for breakfast and double-checking to be sure it was included, although the summary page had the breakfast times listed, the fine print did not have it included. I got nailed with a $50 breakfast fee for the first time during my stay. Bookings ignored my emailed efforts to have this corrected in the guaranteed 24 hour window. No response whatsoever to two requests. The Marco Polo graciously comped my breakfast bill for yesterday and gave me a free breakfast today. Wonderful, wonderful customer service!

Location. Nivel Hills is the top spot in metro Cebu. Views were terrific Staff were welcoming and accommoding. Blue Bar on the roof is awesome. Ease of parking Security is diligent and respectful. Pool is a nice place, staff in the pool bar were welcoming and approachable. We loved going there for that reason. Large rooms, comfortable bed.

Dining room at breakfast was almost always busy. Finding a nice table next to impossible. Blue Bar is under sold. The hotel needs to promote it more. We only found out about it through word of mouth from pool bar staff. We don't recall being told about it at check in.

Topnotch service from all the staff from start to finish. Genuine warmth and attentive service. A hallmark that truly puts this property above and ahead in terms of hospitality. While the location is far from the main city center, its a peaceful retreat that provides the comfort you expect from a topnotch hotel. Their breakfast had a few suprises that you wont usually find in the usual breakfast buffet spread. Food at Blu Bar was good and their signature Tiramisu was unforgettable.

The room we stayed at showed how old the rpoperty is. While efforts have been made to update the rpom to more moderm standards, a few flaws were evident such as the lack of a bidet, tub drain not closing properly and the not so spotless windows which is such a shame particularly if you are booking a seaview room.

Highly Recommended for Stop-over City break: Marco Polo Cebu is just like a favourite Aunty, it doesn’t matter how long it has been since you last visited you receive a warm welcome and a feeling of being part of the family. The best buffet breakfast of any hotel visited in Cebu City, the Chefs and waiting staff have mastered the difficult science and demanding art of providing the same excellence of presentation be it 6am or 10am. Décor is perhaps a little dated for some tastes, but it simply adds to the charm. Rooms, swimming pool and eating areas are well maintained and spotlessly clean.

Marco Polo is perhaps just a little difficult to get to and from considering the traffic in down town Cebu

It was above my expectations, especially with the accommodation that the staff gave us. The breakfast offered a lot of options, and I am happy that they infused international breakfast meals with traditional breakfast meals. The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. Nothing much to add but to keep this level of hospitality always! The location is perfect if you want to go to Ayala or SM and to meet your friends.

I have always wanted to stay at this place.. my partner has stayed several times.. Staff are very friendly spoke with Max the hotel manager he was happy to have a chat.. Location.. Breakfast not a lot for westerners more for Chinese and locals. Staff take forever to replace the food for breakfast they need to be more observant a lot empty for a long time.. I got pancakes no jams or sauces all empty went by 15 min later and all still empty.. But food was nice if you could get it.

We stayed for 3weeks and we had a wonderful time. Though the hotel was bit old in a sense that it’s been too long in business. The hotel was clean and well maintained from the rooms, lobby bar and pool. The property had given attention to all areas of the hotel including the garden outside may not be not significant to others but salute to the management how every morning someone is always cleaning the garden and taking care of the plants. The food and breakfast options were excellent. Above all these the staff really made a difference in our stay. From the security, housekeeping, waitresses in the lobby and waiters in the restaurant who always greet us with a smile. Joe in the restaurant always remember how we want our coffee made, and how they remember our names made us felt like home.

We love the breakfast selections. It was one of the things we enjoyed while staying there since they have a lot of selections and all of the food taste good and prepared well. We also loved the rooms, it's clean and comfortable. Me and my husband usually stay here for business and now, we did not expect our parents who are almost seniors would enjoy staying here as well for leisure.

I love everything but maybe they could put a bidet in the bathrooms.

We enjoyed everything except some aspects of the breakfast. In other Marco Polos, the staff don't wait for the guests to request for hot beverages but one breakfast, my dad had to chase the waiter to ask for coffee. Understandable if the buffet was full but the staff on duty was more than enough to accommodate everybody, The lettuce served on the buffet were obviously old (brownish, aged in the fridge) and was probably used for the dinner buffet the night before.
