Nice hotel with a good breakfast and nice clean rooms

Didn’t feel like a true 5 star experience. Rooms are small and quite out of the way, staff need more training on check in and could do with a bit more attention to detail

nice hotel with fantastic view over Grand Anse. good breakfast and numerous helpful staff. most of the staff spoke some English (we only speak minimal French), but not all of them could answer apart from their learned sentences. very clean inside and outside (which is a tough job with all the charming birds). complementary Nespresso coffee in the room. good location to explore the sud sauvage. we enjoyed our stay very much, a wonderful place! definitely would like to go there again.

restaurant quite expensive (36 for vegetarian main course). maybe a few minor things you would not expect in a hotel of this category in other countries (like chipped furniture), but for us this was not at all disruptive (but may explain some of the nastier reviews here). there is a pathway to the beach which seems not to be in the control of the hotel, because it desperately needs fixing and lighting... we took the car to go to the nice beach. since the hotel is making a big deal of being sustainable, we would very much recommend to get a fully automatic coffee machine where you enter the beans directly for the breakfast buffet. the current Nespresso machines must produce a considerable amount of (unnessecary) waste and it would probably be even cheaper.

Le Palme has to be the best hotel in La Reunion. Without being pretentious, the staff are unwaveringly friendly, welcoming and professional. Everyone from maitre d’ to gardeners greets you and makes you feel genuinely welcome and valued. The food is exceptional, I recommend half-board and just stay here. I loved the pools, and jacuzzi, the hamman was my temple, and gym very good. Views of the ocean are spectacular.

I loved everything about my two stays at Le Palme. I was travelling on my own and was treated like a king. The only thing I haven’t liked are two negative reviews I read from clients on Tripadvisor - I really don’t know what planet they were on, their comments made no sense. Rude staff? Just impossible the team is flawless.

The ambience of the space was truly unforgettable. We were made to feel right at home and incredibly welcome, right from the moment we arrived. The room was very comfortable, the meals were fantastic and the outdoor spaces were great! The staff honestly deserve a special mention. They went above and beyond to make sure the stay was memorable and they are the heart of it all!

Nothing to fault

Great location in the middle of the nature with a stunning view on the ocean and sunset. Well positioned to visit the main attractions of the island. The pools are all very well maintained with a quiet and relaxing ambience. Very good food at both restaurants, at reasonable prices for the context.

Friendly staff, large comfortable rooms, nice pool facilities and bar/restaurant. Breakfast buffet was excellent as is the evening menu

WiFi keeps cutting out and deefaulting to (expensive) roaming. Water takes ages to run hot and plugs in basins are not tight - water runs away when you are trying to shave...

The hotel is situated in a beautiful lush green garden, and the pool area including view on the sea is breathtaking. The entire staff of the hotel are very friendly and accommodating (reception, concierges, waiters, housekeeping, security). We have had some nice dinners with exquisite dishes, including a fabulous seafood buffet.

We had a double deluxe room which compared to rooms of 5 star hotels & resorts in Mauritius and other places felt a bit small, dark and underwhelming. Drinks and meals are quite pricey.

Incredible Hotel, one of the best I have ever been. Restaurants in the hotel are simply amazing and provide topclass food, there was simply no reason to visit other restaurants around. The view is magnificent and pools are clean. The hotel was so good that over our stay at Reunion we returned back after couple of days. And the staff at hotel are simply the best - friendly and helpful. Worth 100%.

The kindness of the staff, the food, the cocktails, the environnent... The room is huge and have a nice balcony where you can just seat and relax. The food choices at breakfast is plentyful, and the food is delicious. It was amazing and very relaxing. Definitely the best hotel of this level in term of service excellence at the Reunion Island.
