We arrived in the evening after dark, with the receptionist able to speak good English, and understand our need for an early departure in the morning. Its a short walk from Calafat station, basically straight up the road, and on the right hand side.

The room looked slightly tired, and the water in the shower didn't seem to run hot. These are very minor gripes, and wouldn't stop me staying here again.

The Hotel is located very close to the border with Bulgaria, so it is a covenient stop. There was plenty of parking available (though most of it was on the street). The room was a decent size and clean. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi was fine. I stayed in room 21, which allowed me to see where I had parked my car (on the street). The room was quiet, though a neighbourhood dog was barking loudly, and also I think that there were very few guests on the Sunday night that I stayed there.

I was not able to understand how to turn on the Climate Control (heater/airconditioner), so the room was cooler than I would have liked. Also, there was no place to attach the shower nozzle, so I had to hold it the whole time I was showering.

The staff, especially the lady who received us in the evening, was very welcoming and helpful despite us not speaking a common language. We received clean rooms on the second floor. The pedestrian street, the old train station and the parks were a short walk away. The ground floor has a cafe/bar with excellent breakfast and good drinks in the evening. We were happy with our stay and think the hotel deserves a higher rating, especially in comparison to other similar places in the area.

My room had a sweage smell but it was not too bad. My friend didn't have this problem. The bar was a bit bit noisy in the evening but it closed at a reasonable hour.

Excellent location, good value for money,reception lady on the night we checked in was very nice,very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and at home ,for which I wish to thank her again.

They had a safe place to store our bicycle. We were able to check in the hotel about an hour early. The room was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. There is a restaurant right next to the motel. The motel is close to down town.

Quiet. Food was exceptional quality and value. The most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my life on reception.

No kettle in the room but there was a fridge.
