The location is right in the center, close to the sports hall as well, which was important for me. The hotel itself is older, built in the communist era but has some modern elements in it. The room was clean, bathroom as well, more than enough towels, pillows, the bed was confy. Breakfast was also good, varied, quite a lot of options and tasty as well. The staff is helpful and tries to fulfill custom requests if possible.

Sometimes it is hard to find a parking later in the evening or night and sometimes in the morning I could smell some stuff from the kitchen somehow, the door to the room wasn't closing properly and airtight, maybe that was the cause.

The position of the hotel is very good, in the city center. The apartment we booked (living room, bedroom, bathroom) had a beautiful view of the cathedral and the fortress. Quiet rooms, well soundproofed, clean, furnished retro (1970s), but with well-maintained or restored furniture. The car park is right in front of the hotel entrance and has enough spaces. The breakfast (self-service buffet) is quite good for someone without special requirements. Very good coffee.

We stayed two nights in the apartment, but it was not cleaned at all after the first day (garbage bins not emptied, toilet paper not replaced, towels not changed). The mattress of the double bed is a bit old.

Location excellent—right in the town center. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Nowadays there is very little about the place to remind you that this used to be a typical product of 70s architecture and hospitality industry communist-style. The makeover was very successful and done in good taste. I will definitely stay here the next time I’m in town.

The restaurant, which has a terrace with a great view, was only open for breakfast. “Cleaning” means just a regular change of towels unless you specifically ask for the full version (bed linen, vacuuming, etc).

Paul / Pol (?) at reception went above and beyond with a little problem I had (MacBook charger). I am very grateful for all the help he gave me, looking into every possibility. It was nice to have a friendly face in a new town. Also the hotel allowed me to check in early and leave my luggage.

Small detail - couldn't find many charging points in the room and no mention of internet details in the room (as far as I'm aware). Had to go down to reception. I would prefer a buffet breakfast.

Even though it is an old hotel, it was very well equipped. (electric kettle, hairdryer, air-conditioning, mini fridge, nice wall mounted coat hanger, spacious wardrobe). Beautiful new furniture, comfortable chairs, nice nightstands. The balcony with a nice view is also a plus. We used the onsite parking option, it is very comfortable, it is right in front of the hotel, a bit small, but ok.

There were no glasses for us, only plastic cups, which is not eco-friendly. There was a mini fridge but there was no mini bar, the fridge was empty. The bathroom could use a little renovation, it was clean and had everything it needs. But small things here and there could be improved, for example the shower cabins doors were wobbling, the handle on the cabin doors were loose.

Lovely terrace for the good breakfast. Easy walk to station, citadel, bus to Corvin and old town. Close to restaurants and shops

I liked everything and I thought it was good value for money. Good location and helpful staff (Paul).

It is too bright in the mornings. Darker curtains needed. Impossible to sleep if you are a bad sleeper.

Third time here. Good sized rooms. Clean. Good breakfast included but only with direct bookings with the hotel.

They could make more tooms available on Booking dot com WiFi in the room was just 2 mB.

I asked in advance for a vegan breakfast and they provided it for me and it was really nice (vegan pate, jam, apple, vegetables, vegetable spread zacusca, bread, tea).

There is no electricity socket close to the bed so I needed to charge my phone in the bathroom.

I stayed here to years in a row before and I was very satisfied; this time year similar price per room but this year smaller room and no mini fridge which I was looking forward to have- based on my previous experience...you have to pay for whatever is in the mini fridge anyways but I was looking forward for that cold beer after a long journey. So it was a bit disappointing, still it is a very good hotel, location, very good price/ value for money.
