The rooms were very nice and clean, good food at the restaurant and nice staff.

The spa was very dirty, the water from the pool had some brown dirt so I could not enter, the jacuzzi had a strong smell of chlorine so you could not stay for more than 10 min. The sauna is very small and only one was working so you had to wait for someone to go out to be able to enter, it looked like a gym sauna not a spa sauna.. Is totally not worth to go there and pay 150 euro for one night thinking that you have the spa included because is not what you imagine.

We have spent 5 exquisite days in this fabulous Montis Hotel & Spa, placed near Caransebes, in the mid of a mountain paradise. Each day spent at Montis, gave us back awesome memories, great energy and a high level of well being. First contact with this resort have been made after 10 hours of exhausting driving from Bucharest, and exceeds our expectations from the very first moment. With a fabulous mountain view (sunsets are incredible), the room was comfy, stylish, and very updated, from technology point of view. I'll add some photos for a better understanding. Our stay, had breakfast included from start, and we have considered as the best option for us. With included swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi, Montis made us regret leaving too soon. Free parking around the property. Now, I'll emphasize on my total surprise on the extremely high level of the restaurant service, enjoying a fine cuisine alongside with great mountain views or dazzling sunsets. With a well selected ambiental music, the atmosphere of the restaurant was unbeatable, doubled with a delicious, tasty, mouth-watering food (Michelin star level!). Compliments to the Chef !

Honestly, everything was perfect but a mosquito net added to the windows will give a greater comfort. Maybe a little more attention of how wi-fi works, will also give a plus.

- Almost everything, the hotel has a beautiful spa and pool with a nice sunset view. We went from monday to wednesday and it was such a romantic experience! - Hotel staff very polite and helpful - Clean rooms and bathrooms ,comfortable bed - excellent food from the restaurant

- the road till there is very bad and muddy but they came and picked us up with a 4x4 car from the parking lot and we left the car near the teleski

Spacious and luxurious room, very cozy and comfortable with floor heating, nice view. The food in the restaurant was delicious and there is a variety of nice dishes on à la carte menu. The breakfast was very rich and with quality food. The pool and spa area was very clean and relaxing. The massage was good and full body as opposed to back only.

The pillows were not soft enough for sleeping on them. Better to have pillows filled with down & feathers. Also a large mirror on the wall in the room would be nice to check your outfit.

Very nice rooms with updated furniture’s very modern and there’s plenty of space. Nice spa except during the summer holiday the saunas were not working. You have to ask to turn them on with at least an hour before you wanted to go to the spa so you need to have a shadow pretty much. And as we were there for hiking, the mountains in the summer is pretty much empty during the week three for rooms. Maximum occupancy. Very busy during weekends, especially lunchtime The restaurant.  The restaurant food is beautiful. Very nice choices. Served a la carte. What was the price for the food much lower compared to a fancy restaurant in the town where you Would pay much more for worst food.  There was obvious lack of personnel in the property. Some skilled personnel on the restaurant with missing a good reception impression for example, when we arrived. Seems to be one receptionist for the week, and if this is not very skilled, then the service will be poor. Electric bikes rentals what are available at the property on the booking. When we arrived, they said we have it but we cannot rent it as we have missing personnel and the price which they asked was 500 Ron for the day compared with €45 for the day in Austria . After reception shift changed on Friday during the weekend the price went down to 350 Ron per day. This is something which I do not expect on this kind of four-star hotel to be robbed.

Missing personnel in restaurant, Ukrainian employees speaking Romanian not always understand what you ask for even looks like yes… you end up with different choices. Some smell from the spa sewage in some instances end up on the Terrace. Reception as a service….

It was an amazing experience. From the hotel-spa to the restaurant and area. We recommend it to anyone wanting a true mountain escape. The food was amazing. The hotel smelled so nice and everything was super clean and looked after. The only little problem was the pillows-not comfortable at all for us. The rest was super super amazing! Just one minute walk there is an ATV and Buggy rentals that give you a tour of the local areas. We chose to go to Poiana Mărului and it was such an amazing experience. Therefore, the area of this hotel was wonderful. Thank you Montis Hotel Staff for making our stay even more wonderful! ❤️

10 for cleanliness. 11 for food. Tasty fine dishes at reasonable prices, very good and diversified breakfast. Very friendly staff. Cosy SPA space though I believe the pool is pretty small when the hotel is full. Big room, comfortable bed in the room but the coach in the apartment is not very comfortable.

The overall resort, even though but here is not the hotel to blame. Just to be clear - we went there during the summer with two kids and a baby and we chose this hotel for the spa area hoping it will not be too crowded and so it was. We knew it was a ski resort and did not have high expectations but still…all the buildings looked like work in progress, left unfinished. The beautiful sight from our windows was damaged by two smaller unkempt buildings in front of the hotel. Otherwise, the landscapes surrounding the resort are beautiful and you can go hiking on various routes.

The hotel is placed in great surroundings, even for an off-season stay, right in the heart of nature. Staff behavior was impeccable, serving our every need.

Internet from WiFi was barely reaching 1Mbps of transfer speed, unusable even for casual web browsing. Good thing that Orange had a great GSM signal in the area, and mobile data worked like a charm.

everything in the building itself is made with taste and high quality materials. the staff has been very welcoming and especially the waiters in the restaurant the view towards the valley is unforgettable. BTW, for those who have not realised it, the hotel is high in the mountain and is reachable through a 30 min drive on a narrow curvy road

wi-fi speed was very slow, practically not usable. with a small investment that can be fixed and should be fixed

no option to dry ski clothes or swimsuits, a towel radiator in the bathroom would be nice to have
