We LOVED everything! We lived in our own little mini jungle! Starting when entering the premises after a looooooong drive, feeling quite "out of it" and extremely tired ... a wonderful smell met us, coming from the kitchen side ... it was the lovely Requel who was busy preparing meals for the guests. She is truly a star, going to the market every morning to buy FRESH ingredients or the meals ... I don't think they freeze anything, for all the meals we had, was freshly prepared. Then we met Shaun, the owner and the host ... a warm welcome indeed. We immediately helped ourselves to some drinks and started to "check out" our accommodation. I am picky with regards to a bed and with my back-challenges, I prefer a nice solid bed ... which it was! I was sooooo glad for that set the tone for my holiday ... and if I don't sleep well, everything else is a problem. THANK YOU FOR THE VERY, VERY FIRM BED ... I really appreciated that. I had a relaxing message as well, at the property. The rest of the staff were all so very friendly and accommodating. Even the other guests were approachable and we made lots of new friends. So very glad and grateful to everyone at this venue ... I highly recommend it!
I had to think long and hard, and I had to dig quite deep .... maybe there can be a small dustbin in the tents.

It was a lovely little tropical paradise with the tents arranged in an oval among the trees and gardens with little pathways. The ablutions were clean and the gardens and walk ways were well maintained. The breakfast and supper was fantastic and personally tailored. Well done to the cooks! It had a nice lounge and dining area where we interacted with other guests. Staff were very friendly and helpful as was the owner Shaun. The bed was comfy and the tent was secure in the heavy downpour. The location is good as once at the property everything can be accessed on foot including the beach, markets and restaurants.
it would be nice to have a clearer sign outside the property and a sign indicating where to go in to reception. I would like to suggest a lock on the gate. Lots of mosquitos

In Jauary 2025 I stayed there for only 3 nights, but i would have liked to stay longer. The staff in particular Sean were incredibly friendly, helpful with information and calm. Sean is a very interesting man and I got a lot of information even before i arrived. I liked talking to him and learned a little more about Mozambique. I felt very welcome. The complex is close to the beach and centrally located for exploring Ponta do Ouro and like a little green oasis. The tent was very large and comfortable, i was lucky to see some different geckos, big snails and a little green snake. The Wifi in the common aera is very good. Also the the breakfast and lunch was very yummy, they even offer free coffee, tea and water all day. I would come back, clear recommendation***
All good, nothing to complain

I was warmly welcomed by Sean and his family, they were always present and ready to answer all of my questions. The tented accommodation was so much better than I expected and I loved that there was electricity and a fan inside. The breakfast was spectacular with many options to choose from. The location was perfect, I am glad that it wasn’t on the main street because the trees blocked some of the noise. The shared toilets and shower facility were not bad at all. Would absolutely stay again!

The owner (Dutch guy) is very friendly and nice, he’s super organized and equipped the guesthouse with everything you would need. The food (both breakfast and dinner) was really delicious. The guesthouse is really nice and cozy, I stayed here on a very windy rainy night so couldn’t do any activities but enjoyed the place in the tent. Thanks for the experience
Staying in a tent on a windy and rainy night was a bit uncomfortable I felt like I’d fly out as the noise was annoying but it was my choice to stay in a tent as there were cottages also in the house. The house is in a walking distance or short drive from the beach not directly on the beach.

A hidden gem in Ponta d’Ouro, just 200 Meters from the bus stop, situated in the picturesque village Ponta d’Ouro, south Mozambique, offers well equipped tents and bungalows and a quiet peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant serves two meals a day, and the breakfast is one of the most delicious I’ve had in Mozambique. Big variety ( i had amazing pancakes with cheese or banana and chocolate). The tea, coffee and water are complimentary, also there is a bar where the guests can enjoy some refreshments and cocktails. There are bungalows with private bathroom, I chose though a tent as I always wanted to camp and had not the chance. For the tents there is a toilet and shower ladies and a separate one for men. There is also Wifi. You will feel like in a little jungle, surrounded by palm tress and other vegetation. The owner is very friendly, you can have long conversations with him.

Devocean Eco Adventure Lodge is a well-maintained gem. We brought food just in case but ended up taking it back home because the breakfast was exceptional. We parked the car and didn't use it once, as everything we needed was within walking distance. Honestly, you don't even have to leave the accommodation because it has everything you need. If you do decide to leave, it's safe to do so at any time of the day or night. The lodge is well-priced, and their beer is cheaper than most restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back.
Ponta do Ouro is quite vibrant and can get loud, not at the accommodation itself but from the neighbors. Sean has earplugs available if needed. I took a sleeping tablet, which I got at a pharmacy less than 500 meters from the accommodation.

Everybody was really friendly and helpful. But the one thing that stood out to us was the food, it was just amazing. You could choose from 5 different breakfast options, which were all really good. For dinner we needed to order it in the morning, but the food was always amazing. We can recommend the T-Bone Steak. It was the best steak I had in a long time.
You had to pre-order the dinner in order to have the full choice. It took away a bit of the flexibility, but for us it wasn't a problem. We ate there twice without ordering and still got a really good meal (but we couldn't choose from every option).
