The room was perfectectly comfortable, clean and as described. While unfortunately the kitchen was closed the night I stayed there (I had been made aware well before hand and did know before I made the booking), I can testify to the food there being very good as I have eaten there before and actually did have lunch there the day before checking in. In addition, the location is excellent.

It would have been nice if the kitchen was open, but I had been made well aware that it wouldn't be before I made the booking, and there are quite a few other places very close by where you can eat. The only other thing that would have been great, but I already knew they did not have, would have been a mini fridge in the room, however again I was aware that they didn't have these and it is not a big thing!

Family room was actually 2 large intersecting rooms with a large bathroom which suited us perfectly, travelling with 2 teenagers. Staff super helpful, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was an excellent buffet in the restaurant with beautiful views over the working harbour. Other reviews mentioned noise from the street and nightclub next door (and the hotel provides disposable earplugs to help deal with this) but we were at the back of the hotel and it was a Sunday night outside of peak season, so we found it quiet and peaceful. Arriving on the late ferry from Ullapool, the location is absolutely perfect as it is literally 5 minutes from the terminal.

There was a bit of water damage on one of the walls which could be tidied up.

Exceptionally friendly staff throughout the hotel (bar staff, managers, cleaning staff). Room spotless throughout, toilet and shower all very modern and clean, good water pressure and hot water in shower. Very nice relaxed bar downstairs with good selection of drinks - open to non-hotel patrons as well as being dog-friendly. Breakfast is a very good spread with tasty lightly warmed croissants on offer. Food in hotel restaurant also very tasty (interesting pizza flavours) and prices match other bars and restaurants in Stornoway.

My (single) bed was quite narrow and not the most comfortable. Walls quite thin (can hear the guy coughing in the room next to mine) but the hotel provides earplugs free of charge.

I spent two nights at the Crown Inn in Stornoway with my brother and his family and we had a very pleasant stay! The rooms were comfortable and very cleaned, very generous breakfast, and great position, in the town centre and just five minutes walk from the ferry terminal. If you've got a car there is a free parking space just in front of the building. The first night we decided to have dinner at the Crown Inn restaurant and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to book a table for dinner the following night as the food was great and there was also a beautiful view on the seaside and on the castle. The staff has been kind and helpful! If I ever have the chance to visit the isle again, and I really hope I will, I will have no doubts and book at the Crown Inn again. The Isle of Harris and Lewis is astonishing, really miss it!

The staff here are superb and nothing is too much trouble for them. I had a single room which was OK size wise with a modern en suite bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Food was good in the restaurant and they have a gin list of over 130 gins! Worth staying a month to sample them all! Breakfast was one of the best you could have anywhere. Choice of cereal, toast, fruit, smoked salmon and a full Scottish breakfast which had 2 sausages, 3 bacon, hash brown, Stornoway black pudding, haggis, eggs how you like 'em, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans! £7.95. The location is right on Stornoway harbour and car parking is very near. I love this place!

The place was well located, very clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really nice and plentiful.

The "so called hotel free Wi-Fi", is wrong on every level. It basically asks you to sign up to Sky and you have to give them a lot of privileged information (and rights), which basically gives Sky the right to bombard you with unsolicited marketing information, which frankly is totally unacceptable in 2024 when Data privacy is of the upmost importance, and wrong for any hotel to provide a facility on this basis.

The staff were all lovely and cant do enough for you. The food was good. The wifi is good.

The carpet in my room was quite old and worn, with a frayed join in the middle of the walkway to the door. It wasnt very clean looking either. The underside of my sink was a bit grubby, I asked at reception and it was no bother to them and it was cleaned by the time I got back. Thank you.

The staff are so so friendly and accommodating. The man serving the breakfast always had a smile and seemed to work very hard. He knew every day how I liked my coffee and brought this to my table without asking. The man at reception couldn't do enough. Again, hard working jumping from serving in the bar to manning the reception desk.

The outside noise at night made it very difficult to sleep and I had to ask for a heater as the room was freezing cold.

It's a great little place, just a short walk from the Ferry terminal. Their restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday but there was a complimentary bowl of fruit which was a nice touch. I liked that there was a "residents lounge" which, had I stayed more than one night, I would have definitely used it more. It was quiet, comfortable and a safe place to leave my luggage after checking out for the daytime before I got my bus.

It was disappointing to discover the restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday. I had been looking forward to just staying close by but ended up walking to find food; a challenge on a Sunday as the town shuts down on this day of the week. I found the hall doors noisy around my room, and the place didn't seem very well insulated (for noise) as I could hear people talking in the corridor. The seagulls were quite annoying in the wee hours of the early morning. Earplugs in the bathroom were a dead giveaway when I got to my room so I wasn't shocked when I work up early from the sound. All in all it was a very nice place to stay, super convenient and lovely staff.

The welcome and assistance to find parking directly outside the hotel. The staff were soooooo pleasant and accommodating. The fact that housekeeping respected that I didn’t want disturbing. The comfort of the bed and excellent quality bedding and towels. The cleanliness of the room and en-suite. The choice of good quality food.

No lift but I was offered help with my bags.
