Great accomodation! As a family we have been located in separate apartment = half a house ovelooking a harbor. Great view, superb fascilities with laundry and dryer allowing us to refresh a bit offloading our laundry bag. Additional nice touch is great restaurant in the main building which is serving dinner offerring local fish, variety of local and international dishes and choice of pizzas (Italians would cry but it was tasty, I would rather call it an open pie). Breakfast is served in other area, suggesting good standard variety of choices. Kids went for free - nice touch.

Sleeping sofa in our apartment seen better times, so might be good to think of replacing it. The location is bit off the beaten track, so you need to build it in your route.

the view was wonderful, right into the harbor. looks like a lot of construction ongoing in djupivogur (as it seems in most of iceland usually), so the alltrails that mentions a trail going behind the hotel is not quite available (yet or anymore?). i didn't end up eating at the hotel, but they are one of the few options in the small town. looks like things can get busy with buses and ferries, so i'm glad i got a quiet room (with laundry) all to myself.

We had a family apartment for 4 of us, spacious and clean. The front desk staff was very helpful delivering additional coffee and creamer for the next morning. We wish we had stopped at the grocery store before it closed to make our breakfast in the nice kitchen. Most stores do not open before 9 am so we had to wait for food in the morning. We used the washer/dryer that was a bit confusing.

Not much, nice quiet town on the coast. The heater in the living room would not turn off, we reported this at checkout.

Spectacular view! Armchairs perfectly placed to watch it were wonderful! Yay - washer and dryer! So helpful on a longer trip. Kitchen was well equipped, bed were comfortable and the big dining table was great for spreading out my art supplies and digital gear.

Door was a bit hard to open but front desk described how to work it very well.

The cottage has a lovely view over the boat harbour for the fishing village. The hotel restaurant is great (though do expect that locals will be given the best tables overlooking the harbour even though you booked prior to them.)

The cottage is small but that’s ok if you aren’t travelling for 6 weeks in cold weather with larger bags that you will have difficulty fitting into the room. One of our bags had to be placed in the middle of the lounge / kitchen area which wasn’t convenient. The lounge was way overdue for replacement in our cottage.

We were worried about all of the reviews that mentioned flies but our room was sparkling clean, very spacious, and well equipped. We were traveling in June and stayed in a wonderful cottage that had a massive sliding door onto the balcony and a very spacious bathroom with a combo washer/condensing dryer. The living room of the cottage had a couch and a rollaway bed. The kitchen area also had a full dining table. We were really really pleased with the accommodations and slept so comfortably there. The reception folks were also super nice and accommodating. We felt very welcomed.

I can't complain about anything other than the weather we experienced while we were in town lol. The accommodations were wonderful.

They waited for us till late. Nice position facing to the harbour. very quiet and cozy place. The cottage is well equipped for overnight and breakfast (with sea view) Very good products for personal hygiene (shampoo, cotton stick…)

Restaurant closing too early. Breakfast it the guesthouse too expensive (approx 3000 isk)

I didn't comment on the cleanliness because the cottage smelled strongly of urine. It could have been the rug or furniture or maybe they clean with ammonia and that was the smell. We did tell the staff as we checked out.

Great location in comfortable apartment.

It is pricy as Iceland prices are really high. For that money we would have liked a real bed for all 4 adults. Sleeping bank for 2 but that we knew upfront

The view, spacious, good kitchen. Clean, friendly staff, location

Would have been better to notify us in advance that the extra 5th bed would be a mattress on the floor. (It was still very comfortable)
