We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Der Schwan for one night during our journey from Berlin to Milan, and it was truly a delightful experience. Traveling with my mother and our dog, we were warmly welcomed upon arrival, even though we were delayed due to traffic. The staff’s hospitality was outstanding, ensuring we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. What stood out the most was how dog-friendly this hotel is. Not only was our dog greeted with kindness, but we were also allowed to bring him along to breakfast, which made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. Speaking of breakfast, it was absolutely delicious, with a variety of high-quality options. The hotel itself is stunning, with a charming ambiance and beautifully designed interiors. Our room was cozy, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated, providing the perfect space to relax after a long drive. From the excellent service to the attention to detail, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. If you’re looking for a welcoming and stylish place, Hotel Der Schwan is an absolute gem. Highly recommended!

Good location - easy to find. Our room had old furniture, which we loved! The mattress was great. Bathroom was modern and roomy. Staff was very friendly. Loved the breakfast buffet. Had the option to decline maid service (in exchange for a free drink at the bar, which we chose not to get). Ate dinner at the restaurant twice, and it was delicious!

I believe it was stated that there was free parking, which implies the hotel has it's own parking area (in my mind). This was not the case. Yes, parking was free, but on the street nearby or a block away.

This is a very special hotel. We loved everything about it. We only wish we could have stayed there longer. The restaurant is terrific, the staff is amazing and the hotel has more character than any other hotel we have ever experienced. If you are searching for a place right now, just stop and book it for as long a stay as you can!

We didn't like that we had to continue on our journey and leave this wonderful place so soon.

The location is easy to find and in a lovely area, not to far from Autobahn, but in a quiet village setting. The property is super nice with so many original features, it like stepping back in time. The rooms are very nice and have a cosy individual feel. With a good shower and WC. The beds are comfy with fresh crisp linen. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice and hot coffee. Our evening meal was taken in the beer garden which is very nice and relaxing, The food was traditional local style with good portions and friendly service. The owners are welcoming and speak perfect English. We look forward to returning.

We made a pitstop in Nuremberg on a drive from Amsterdam to Italy and were wonderfully surprised. The hotel is beautiful, especially the courtyard. The medieval building has tremendous character and we loved the rooms (we booked 2). Breakfast was good, drinks in the yard were great and we loved dinner in the biergarten too. We could see and feel the owners' genuine concern for guests' wellbeing. It was easy to park on streets nearby and owner made sure we could safely unload our suitcases in front of the hotel before suggesting another parking spot.

The staff at this hotel is very kind, professional and always ready to help. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.

Downside is that the hotel is completely closed on Sundays, and there is no reception available, which can be inconvenient for guests arriving or needing assistance.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Delicious food, rich breakfast buffet. Quiet location, cozy, old but very well maintained building.

There is nothing what we didn’t like. But be aware, there is no elevator and we had a room in the second floor. Only accessible via a narrow staircase. But I guess, that this friendly staff will help to bring up the luggage.

Very nice old fashion hotel in a super old and traditional house. If you like modern, this is not for you. Everything is clean, staff is super nice . I recommand this hotek

nothing. Maybe breakfast could include other drink than plain coffee or tea and a choice of eggs but it's nice.

Nice traditional hotel with bar and restaurant. Easy to find with plenty of nearby parking and a place to store bikes. Reasonable menu selection which had a special of tapas when we visited. Has an excellent selection of whiskey! Breakfast was buffet style with good selection. Room was comfortable.

Perhaps the outside area being more comfortable….

Wonderful hotel in a nice village very close to Nurnberg. We attended the Toy Fair and this was a great place to stay, around 20 minutes by car from the Fair. Amazing local meals for the dinner.
