During our recent trip to Bandung, my family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Papandayan for two nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. The food was absolutely fantastic! The dining options were diverse, and each meal was a culinary delight. Whether it was the local delicacies or international dishes, the flavors were rich, and the presentation was impeccable. The breakfast buffet, in particular, was a highlight, offering a wide range of options that catered to every palate. As for the amenities, they were nothing short of luxurious. The rooms were spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with all the modern comforts one could ask for. The pool area was pristine and inviting, offering a perfect spot for relaxation amidst the tranquil surroundings. The Papandayan exceeded all our expectations, and we left with wonderful memories of our stay. Without a doubt, we will be returning to this gem of a hotel on our next visit to Bandung. The rooms do not have a soundproof wall...the traffic loud decrease our comfort...though, all was going so well

I stayed for 3 days in the premier room and was amazed on how this hotel still maintains their charm and elegance from the past. The premier room is just what I am expecting. Clean, comfy bed and pillows, hot water and amenities, proper aircon, everything is just right. I see comment on the carpet, indeed mine had spots on but it doesn't bother me at all. The breakfast is on another level. Many stars hotels provide various breakfast items but only few of them bring out the delicious food. Papandayan is one of them, even the soun goreng looks humble but the taste was sooo gewd!! The staffs are so attentive and efficient. If you could just provide egg benedict (by request) in the egg corner that would be fantastic. I was also fascinated with the jazz cafe next to the lobby. Too bad the area is no smoking. I mean, please do consider... live jazz, coffee and cigarette is perfect to end the night after bustling in the city. The interior is warm and so inviting, love it! Maybe portable air purifier would be helpful? I love the beautiful garden and koi ponds, also the hospitality from the staffs. One of the gardener notices that I enjoy the koi ponds, he then came and shared the fish pellets for me. Another feedback maybe for the pool that closed at 6pm. Please do consider to extend the time. You have a beautiful and warm pool, I surely want to relax in the evening at the pool, quick swimming wouldn't hurt anyone. I will come back for sure 😀

The breakfast (included in the price) was exceptional. There was a selection of everything - I would say around 35 selections - eggs, bacon, sausage, a huge selection of Indonesian dishes, sushi, salads, curries, nasi goreng lots of sweet options local as well as cakes, pancakes, waffles, fruits, fresh juice, a selection of coffee's brought to your table made by the barista. The staff were exceptional and there were so many of them. You can sit outside or inside. It was a great experience to begin the day and a little chat with the staff was always lovely to enjoy. They helped us wth local information as well and always followed up on how we went the next day. As we were there for FifaU17 WC, they often asked about scored and celebrated or commiserated with us. We commend all the breakfast staff! Recommendations were taken up on and did not disappoint. The later check out time makes a difference too when so many hotels rush you out in the morning and you end a lovely holiday in panic mode. The pool was lovely and the spa amazing. You can book the hot and cold pool, steam room, sauna privately for an hour or so no extra charge! No crowds. The gym is small but efficient. Massages were half price of a neighbouring hotel our friend was in. Incredible massages! The door people were always friendly and stopping traffic for us. The personal touch of this hotel was something I have not experienced for many years. We even left with a beautiful Papandayan cushion as a gift. The decor of the hotel was lovely with Art deco meeting beautiful Indonesian design. The aromatherapy that hits you when you enter puts you in a calm mood after all the hustle and bustle of the city. The waterfall out the back is a serene environment and the fish beautiful. We had sandwiches made to go and they were like a meal in themselves! Incredible. No stomach issues whatsoever. Cleanliness of the room was brilliant, wifi always worked. My friends and I were very impressed. Thank you...

We liked everything!

Papandayan has a 10/10 service which you will not find anywhere around the other hotels in Indonesia. It has one of the best service with such accomodating and professional staff that knows its aim to make your stay as accomodating as possible. If i were to return to Bandung again, it will be in Papandayan. If hotels want to know how to accomodate their guests, please look into Papandayan's service.

Room Service food was decent but does not scream 5 star hotel food. Might consider using better ingredients or introducing new food into the in-dining menu to allow more options. Regardless, this should still not stop the 10/10 rating that I provide to Papandayan.

Check in and Check out wäre fast. Offers variety of breakfast Food. The remodelling of the Interior are very nice . The artwork for my floor are nice and suitable, only the paintings in dinning area aren‘t that suitable. Ambiance of the room is great,very relaxing. We love Your soap, i think it can be your signature , Made special‘ soap of Papandayan just like the Padma hotel Service were excellent, all the staff are helpful, proffessional and friendly Wifi is good, AC super cold…we loved it!

Some small part of the furniture is already chipped. No cable tv in the room. Swimmingpool area aren‘t that attractive Need an elevator from Lobby to parking lot (my husband have walking difficulties,so it took a while to reach the parking lot)

The design of the hotel and the room bring out a cozy and welcoming feel. The scented hallway bring up the experience to another level. The room with all the amenities is really comfortable. The plush and extra-wide pillows are just what we needed to end the night. There is a hidden gem; a mini garden that immediately makes you forget that you are in the middle of Bandung.

The staff are really attentive and responsive. Our villa Manager, Genter, was really helpful during our late check-in. He is also very helpful in answering our questions. Our villa is comfortable and good value for money.

The second bedroom walls (downstairs next to the pool) are a bit worn out. With a little bit of touch up, this will be perfect. But we didn't have any issues..

Breakfast is nice and the dining room staff was excellent. I like the pool and the garden is beautifully maintained. There are a lot of area to sit and relax in the garden and near the pool/outdoor restaurant.

The AC is too cold and cannot be controlled from the room. The staff said it cannot be adjusted as it's centralized. But we had to turn it off so we could sleep.

The room was perfect, clean and they even prepared a small present for my wife's birthday. Breakfast was amazing, right there with the best ones I ever had at hotels. The staff were all super helpful and efficient.

I was looking forward using the sauna but for some reason it doesn't operate all the time, that's the only thing I can think about that could improve.
