This hotel is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. It's a converted old ranch house and everything is reminding you of that: from the uses of dark woods in the room to tables and lamps made out of cart wheels. It gives the hotel an incredibly homely feel. That's even more reinforced by the setup: the dining room, also has a heart with couches to hang out, there's toys for kids, a few alcoves to hang out and read, there's a bonfire at night, a wishing well, a swing etc. Everything makes you feel at home. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive and goes above and beyond to help you in any way they can. They still maintain a few animals: a few of llama's, goats, a pig, peacocks, a dog, cats and a few rabbits. From the hotel, there are several places close by to visit, like a fairground, Iglesia Balbanera (the oldest church in Ecuador) and if course the mighty chimborazo, the highest volcano in Ecuador. Unfortunately, we only got to stay there 1 night, but if we ever go back to Ecuador, we will definitely make another stop here.
I honestly can't think of anything.

LOCATION: perfect for traveling between Cuenca and Quito. Very quiet. Cute little farm with alpaca, cows, birds and dogs. Secure parking. Several seating areas that were very inviting and comfortable. The fireplace was kept burning nicely. ROOM: Nice decor and clean. Comfortable linens on the bed. A heater was provided that we used and it kept the room very warm. The towels were soft and they provided wash clothes. I like having liquid soap at the sink. FOOD: Great dinner. The breakfast was tasty and filling. There was a large bottled water to fill my thermos. STAFF: Kind, inviting and helpful.
ROOM: This is only a suggestion NOT a complaint. Maybe provide one additional type of pillow. DINING: Again, only a suggestion NOT a complaint. Maybe add cushions to the seats at the table.

Very nice hacienda, great food, nice people. There are not many places to stay in Guamote. Ideal place to explore lagunas del parque Sangay o desierto de Palmira.

A charming place to stay, close to Guamote by car but far enough to enjoy a quiet night. Nicely furnished, very welcoming. A small heating in the room makes the difference. Very good (& generous) dinner and breakfast.
Nothing in particular.

It’s a classic hacienda! The aesthetic, architecture and style are fantastic. Our family room was roomy and beautifully furnished. The common dining room and living areas were beautifully furnished too. The mountain and farm scenery were great. Our children loved playing with the animals. Breakfast was great. This was such a good value and a wonderful experience.
Can be a bit cold (but the beds are warm and luxuriously comfortable).

Great setting! Loved the animal farm, very cute! Good bed Breakfast and dinner were good The staff was very friendly
There are some things you should fix: Credit card payments should be feasible When having dinner, ask what we want to drink, don't assume we want to have juice... Wine was better Please fix the warm water for the shower, and add a heater in the bathroom.

We had a very nice stay. It is a very elegant and charming place to visit. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We were traveling across the country and found the location a nice place to rest outside of the city. We hope to return soon.
