This was a very nice clean and comfortable modern hotel. It is close to the train station and main high way. There are restaurants next to it (I think, I didn't eat at any of them) and an excellent local products and souvenirs supermarket (mainly food, I got some nice sea salt and yuzu products.)

I had a lot of problems and hassles trying to make a reservation and I wasn't even sure if I had one until I got there. (I did and check in was very easy.) This may not be their fault I think they might have been hacked. I got emails from the hotel and booking.com asking again for my credit card information and saying it was no good and asking for my information again/ go to links. Hopefully this has been looked into and dealt with. We also had to leave before 6:30am so we never got breakfast, it looked like it could have been good and was a disappointment for me but not the hotel's fault.

Very clean and relatively new hotel nearby Nakamura station, Shimanto. I like almost everything about this hotel, from its location next to a huge souvenir centre and a decent restaurant, to the nice gesture of the hotel providing self served welcoming drink and free use of bicycle. Breakfast is exceptionally delicious!

Having an onsen will be nice.

The room is spacious. The bed is comfortable and there are 2 types of pillows for you to choose. The breakfast has a lot of choices. There is a large free parking space in front of the hotel. Our room got a nice balcony with a good view.

The staff to do the check-in for us was not polite and a little bit rude. The toilet was a little bit smelly.

I traveled with my parents throughout Japan for 21 days. During this time we stayed at 7 different hotels in different areas of Japan. In general, we found all Japanese hotels to an above-acceptable standard, and the Hotel Sunriver Shimanto demonstrated this. This was our only Japanese/Western-type room of all the hotels and it was nice for a different experience. The room felt like a mini house, complete with its own foyer and bathroom zone. The location was within easy walking distance from the train station. The staff were friendly, helpful and easily used Google Translate to communicate where required. I would happily stay in this hotel again. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and was great value at 500 Yen (May 2023). The hotel had the widest selection of lobby toiletries of any hotel we stayed in. Overall the hotel seemed very proud to be the best hotel it could be!

The space between the walls, beds and TV was tight, but managable.

Really good value for money. The room was comfortable and it was close to restaurants and souvenir shops. The breakfast too was cheap and good.

The only minor quibble was the sofa was uncomfortable. But for the price we paid, I can overlook that.

The staff members were polite and respectful. We left our belongings in the room and realised it when we were already too far to go back. The front desk kindly sent the item to my requested address. Much appreciated.

Really liked this new hotel. Parking right outside. Lawson’s across the parking lot. Nicely appointed room. Good laundry facilities. Good breakfast buffet. Would stay again.

Everything- the twin room was great with lots of space for Japan, and a sofa. Checkin was easy, lots of parking and shops nearby. It’s a new hotel, very clean, has an on site laundry and good breakfast.

Excellent location with plentiful parking. Grocery and convenience store adjacent as well as a few restaurants. Breakfast buffet has many selections, both Japanese and Western. Room was clean and comfortable but small which is typical for a Japanese hotel. Great value for money and I would stay here again.
