This is not a five star resort with all the facilities, if you need that go elsewhere! But, if like us, what you love is accomodation right on the beach with a comfortable bed, semi open air bathroom, access to brilliant diving, kitesurfing etc with amazing staff and great food ( we had a prawn curry one night which was the best meal of our 5 weeks in Sri Lanka ) and the whole thing is a tranquil, tropical oasis, then this is the place! We stayed 5 nights and wished it was longer. Highly recommend but don’t book budget accom and then complain about what they do not provide. We had an amazing experience here and highly recommend.

Location was beautiful. Staff and owner and family were kind and helpful. Our dolphin trip was totally amazing. Do not miss the chance of a doing a dolphin boat trip if you get it ...not to be missed . Food was very tasty. Always cold beer available and the wi fi was surprisingly strong and we had an air conditioner which worked well. If it's important to you make sure you book air conditioner rooms.

Just a warning that the accommodation is beach huts with very basic open to the elements bathrooms and no hot water. Simple linen. Don't expect luxuries. But It's a wonderful desert island experience just go with an open mind.

The location is perfect - so nice that you can just walk to many restaurants along the beach without the need for shoes from the accommodation! Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant had just left so there were limited food options but the food we did have was good. There is a sweet little fish place to the right on the beach and plenty of options the the left. The cabanas were perfect for us, loved showering outside! The air conditioning worked very well and the bed was comfy. Had a lovely dolphin boat trip also that was organised for us, which left right off the beach next to the accommodation. Dogs were well looked after and so friendly!

The coffee wasn't great!!

Absolutely​ adorable little cottages directly on the beach. Simple but very comfortable. I loved hearing the ocean day and night. Large  breakfasts and I loved the fried fish for dinner. Dedicated and attentive staff whether I wanted tea or I needed information or transportation. They have kitesurfing lessons and rent gear as well as arrange for Safaris and other excursions which was hugely convenient. They went above and beyond to make sure I had eveverything I needed. I loved it so much I even stated well quite a few extra days.

My favorite place in Kalpitiya, located right by a beautiful and clean private stretch of beach. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and can organize all kinds of activities for you, including kite surfing lessons. The cabanas are very spacious and got everything you need. At night you hear the ocean, what’s adding to the very calm and relaxing vibe of this place. Very amazing value for money, will definitely come back and stay there again!

The location is very good literally on the beach. Highlight was falling asleep listening to the crashing waves on the beachfront 20meters from the Cabana. Although the rooms are very basic,the beds are very comfortable and we slept very well there. The wifi was very good 👍 Sugath is an excellent host, arranged Lagoon trip with his brother and Wilpatu safari trip for us. He was very obliging and like a friend by the time we were leaving his property. The other staff were always smiling and friendly, making sure we were fed & when we wanted to To eat. Great location almost like having a private beach to yourself.Great value for the money,off season only 4 out of the six rooms occupied,3 of which by me and my driver and a friend.Best kept secret for budget conscience in kalpitiya.Highly recommend.

Food ok but a bit of room for improvement.However lots of restaurants very close, within walking distance.

Excellent location. Food was very tasty. Comfortable bedroom with AC. The rooms are simple but very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. The beach is very clean. This area is really good for Kitesurfing. We had an amazing experience here and highly recommend.

Very simple but very beautiful place. Very nice staff and owner. A great place to disconnect from technology and connect with nature and with family. Weather and ocean breezes are wonderful. Also, a great dolphin watching trip starts right from the beach.

Staying only 50 feet from the beach was fantastic. Great to have a long swim every morning (and anytime it got to warm). The manager was very helpful with anything we asked for. He even asked me to join him to a private celebration at another hotel. A great place to stay and relax.
