The staff were just excellent - so helpful and kind. The first room we were given had poor air conditioning - so the staff immediately gave us a different room and helped us to move our bags. Breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect - right in the middle of all the key sights of Bukhara. We took a 3 hour tour with Alim (the hotel's driver) to the sights about 30 minutes outside the city- it was a superb tour and he was very knowledgeable about the places we visited. Thank you to everyone at Volida Hotel for making our 3-night stay just perfect.

Everything was great.

The hotel provides a shuttle from the railway station to the hotel & this is a must as the station is actually located in a neighbouring town. The hotel is centrally located in a small, quiet side street, as well as being ideal for exploring the mosques & mausoleums that lay just outside the immediate city centre - everything is walkable. The hotel itself is stunning. It is based around an open courtyard with the b'fast room the central part on the ground floor. There's even some stunning rooftop seating, too. The rooms are big enough, beautifully designed in local colours that give them a vibrant & pleasant ambience. The bed was big & v.comfy. B'fast was tasty & plentiful with a wide variety of local dishes. Staff are super helpful, extremely friendly & very hospitable - if they can help you in any way they will & there is a genuine feeling that they are there at your disposable & enjoy what they do.

A small thing - I'd have preferred a proper walk-in shower rather than bath & shower curtain arrangement. The bathrooms can feel a bit cramped but this does not detract from the pleasure of staying in the hotel.

- Amazing staff, very helpful and accommodating. - Nice hotel and rooms, it’s as good as the photos show. - Good breakfast. - Great location, short walks to all the attractions and the paved pedestrian area of Bukhara.

- We had to pay extra for coffee from the espresso machine at breakfast which was unexpected - could the price not just be increased a small amount to cover this? - It’s been recently renovated so some teething issues with curtains etc - very minor.

The hotel ambience in general is very nice and we fell in love with the designs and colorful glass windows. The staff were very nice, helpful, and spoke English well. The location was great and close to many of the important attractions, the souq, madrasahs and restaurants. We love walking so we did not mind that we had to walk 20 mins or more to get somewhere. However, for those who can't or don't like walking, there are paid shuttle services to get you anywhere you need (the touristic attractions). The breakfast was simple and fresh but not many options.

We did have a problem with our air conditioning, but the hotel staff was very nice and helped fix it as soon we told him. Bukhara is very hot in the summer and air conditioning was very much needed. Otherwise, we thought the breakfast could include more options and the rooms could be a little bit more spacious but we managed.

Very grateful to shakrubh and jasoor for all their help during our stay. My father fell ill and they guided us on hospitals, helped us make simple foods for him and in general were very supportive and accommodating.

The bathrooms come equipped with a bathtub which is something for elderly people to note as climbing in and out for the shower has to be done with care else they might slip.

We liked the location as it is close to the tourist attraction. It's not too deep into the estate so cabs could find it easily but away from the streets enough that it's quiet. The rooms are quite small but it's good enough as we aren't there most of the time. It's quiet and we had a great night sleep. The breakfast was in a nice dining area with cool designs. I think overall, it's super value for money.

nothing really

The location of the hotel is good. Just 10 min walk from the old city and equally to the new city. What stands out is the hotel staff. Me and my friend were travelling from 15 days and were tired of having heavy plov (uzbek national cuisine) and only wanted to have veg or chicken. Aleem (who manages the reception) went out of the way for us and brought us food. He also showed us the outskirts of Bukhara. He is very friendly and kind soul and we had good laugh. Other hotel staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Highly recommended.

The location just on the edge of the pedestrian area was great - easy to get to by taxi but very close to the major sights. The hotel is nicely decorated in local style, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was a little limited, but what was there was fresh and tasty.

The location of the hotel was great, close to the city's attractions, but in the same time the area was quite and we could relax easily. The hotel was clean and all the services were excellent. Appreciated a lot all the help we have received from the staff (many thanks to Rawa - hope I remember correctly the name 😁 - who was so helpfull all the time and with the right attitude towards us). Everything was perfect!

Good location, the room is clean enough

The room window faced the street and it was quite noisy in the night. Breakfast could have been better. Only one room was available for booking (it was larger than we needed). In fact, the hotel was practically empty. And on the day of departure, already at 10:00, stuff started calling us with a reminder that check out is at 12:00
