The hotel is located in a beautiful natural environment, a short drive from the city center of Naples. The attractions of the area are easily accessible by car, and there is a safe and spacious free car park in the hotel's park. The hotel is a comfortable 2-3 minute walk from the car park, but guests can also be picked up and dropped off by golf cart on request (this is especially necessary if you arrive with large luggage). The hotel is a beautiful castle-like building, with a modern accommodation area next to it. Our family booked 3 rooms (2 rooms in the castle, one in the building next to it), it was no problem that we were given rooms in two buildings. Weddings are held on the premises on a daily basis, but hotel guests and wedding guests are very well separated. We spent a whole week at the hotel, but we had no problems with weddings. We really enjoyed the beautiful and spacious pool, the breakfast was delicious and with a good selection, we often had lunch at the pool bar. We had cocktails on the roof terrace in the evening. We were satisfied with the prices. It would have been possible to have dinner there, but we ate in the city in the evening. There are 2 restaurants in the area within walking distance, but due to the traffic it is more convenient to go to them by car. The staff is very nice and does a professional job. Beautiful well appointed hotel with friendly service and modern rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast with plenty of choice to get you off to a good start each day. Free courtesy bus to train station for easy access to central Naples. There were functions going on whist we visited that made for a happy and buzzy atmosphere. Grounds and pool are very well cared for and make for an impressive location from which to admire Mount Vesuvius.

The hotel is on a very busy main road and the surrounding streets are a little run down. You really need a car if you want to go out and find anywhere else to eat in the evening if the hotel restaurant is closed or you want to find something cheaper. The nearest place we found was Bani's Pizzeria which was excellent and good value.

We really enjoyed our stay and thought the service from reception staff was excellent. Breakfast was superb and the rooms were kept very clean. Pool area was lovely and not busy most of the time. The day after a wedding there were more people -but still not busy. The hotel is not near any local restaurants so we did need to use taxis quite a lot. The hotel has a shuttle service to Ercolano-Scavi railway station and back at set times of the day which is very useful. The area outside the hotel is not suitable for walking far - the roads are uneven and quite busy. Indside the grounds is an oasis of calm. We used the hotel for relaxation and as a base to see Herculanium and Pompeii.

A wonderful luxury haven in a busy city. Il San Cristoforo is a beautiful hotel with extensive grounds. The outside pool area is a wonderful place to relax after a day in Naples and the staff are brilliant. Cocktails by the pool are a must! We had dinner in their stylish restaurant and it was amazing. The chef is an absolute star and I would return just to have dinner there again! The food and wines are sublime and the waitress serving us had a great sense of fun and expertise in helping us choose from the exciting menu. If you get the opportunity to stay at this hotel - grab it! I would highly recommend.

Breakfast was good. The location for airport ,train station and sightseeing was excellent. The on site restaurant is fine dining which was called Line and is very good with great staff. The menu was good but as we were staying 2 nights we asked about other restaurants nearby. There are not really any in walking distance but there is a very good pizzeria which the hotel can book for you and they collect you and drop back off. Food there was good and really reasonably priced. There is a lovely pool and area with sun loungers with a pool bar as well. The hotel has weddings every day which the hotel remind you about via email prior to booking but they weren’t an issue for us during our stay and it was nice to see it happening in the beautiful grounds. They do finish at midnight and all guests have to leave so all very civilised.

The grounds, hotel and pool were exceptional. Well kept, beautiful views and an evening roof top bar topped off this truly wonderful stay.

Everything! But particularly the staff. Their attention to detail, professionalism and eagerness to help made the stay. They would recommend local restaurants, organise travel and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic, as was the lovely people who served it. The bar staff by the pool made the most amazing cocktails 🍹

Exceptional Stay at Il San Cristoforo Hotel - A True Oasis in Ercolano, Napoli We recently spent a week at Il San Cristoforo Hotel in Ercolano, Napoli, and were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our stay. The location is perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to local attractions. The hotel itself is a masterpiece, beautifully refurbished with a tasteful design that incorporates unique volcano stone features throughout its architecture. The garden is absolutely breathtaking—a true delight to the eyes both during the day and at night. The attention to detail in the landscaping is remarkable, adding to the overall charm and ambiance of the property. Every element of the hotel has been crafted with exquisite taste, creating an atmosphere of elegance and tranquility. Dining at “The Line” restaurant is an experience not to be missed. The food is exceptional, and the breakfast service was particularly noteworthy, offering a fresh and varied selection of fruits and yogurts. The kitchen staff were always friendly, polite, and attentive to our needs, making every meal a pleasure. Thank you Annabella, Gianluca and all your other colleagues from the kitchen! Hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel generally is great. The hotel pool is fantastic, but had a lot of maintenance work on going which was quite noisey.

There was little to no food catering for children at the hotel or restaurant. As the local restaurants off hotel site do not open till after 19:00 being able to use the hotel restaurant was an expectation that just wasn’t provided for our children. If asked, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to families with younger children, especially seeing the children are charged breakfast at adult rate and there is no menu at all for younger guests. The language lyrics in the pool music had many swear words and bad language. The staff did change this eventually when point out as children were at to pool.

The area around the hotel was not great The restaurant was either fully booked or closed and only al la carte and as the area wasn’t touristy it was very difficult to find some where to eat even with a car. It would have been good if the hotel had a separate dining area with standard food for the hotel guests and the shuttle ran more often

This hotel is situated in large grounds in a fairly urban area. The grounds are superbly maintained as it is a popular wedding venue. The chef at the Line Restaurant deserves a Michelin star for his superb tasting menu. The breakfasts were good too. We had a marvellous room on the 3rd floor with a view of Mount Vesuvius. The swimming pool was a welcome place to relax after sightseeing. The hotel is a shuttle bus ride away from the ruins of Heculanaeum.

The restaurant put on repetitive music in the evening which was more appropriate for a spa than for a sophisticated gastronomic setting. The hotel is marketed as an 'agritourism' site, but it isn't clear what is meant by this term, which conjures up images of being able to help milk cows and goats in the morning and pick vegetables in the evening.
