Amazing island with very friendly staff. Completely back to the basics, but everything you need is there. Perfect to totally relax for a couple of days. Boat available to take you to nearby other islands.

The typhoon did some damage a couple of years ago and not everything is restored. But again, everything you need is there. I recommended to install a lockable box/cabinet in the rooms. The island is perfectly safe, but I like to be able to lock up my valuables. There are stingray's and 2 other dangerous fish around the island, although later I learned most stingray's are at the back of the island and if you shove your feet when entering the water instead of lifting them you will scare them away. None of these will kill you, but you will feel it if you get in contact with them...

It is divine, the colors of the ocean, the white, super clean beach with cute inspirational quotes, hammock, deck chairs… out of this world. super grateful to have discovered this gem. And: the food, sososo good!!!

The generator was a little too much, but needed for guests who want ac or fan. not us, we chose to sleep on the beach and listen to the ocean.

Beautiful slice of paradise. Rare to have access to such a clean, pristine, naturally stunning location at such a reasonable price point. Staff really go out of their way to try to help make the best of your stay. We saw dugongs (sea cows), lion fish, sea snake, many other fish and coral, and tonnes of life (fish, starfish, clams, hermit crabs, etc, etc) especially in the atoll's massive tide pools during low tide. My 2-year daughter loved the whole experience, and my wife had a very relaxing time away and unplugged.

Hard to say anything here, considering the price point. It's just such a special place. We knew there wouldn't be daytime electricity, and little to no wifi (in practice my local Globe SIM card still picked up a decent signal from towers on the Palawan mainland, when I needed it, anyway). Our boat departure was delayed by choppy waters on the crossing, but again, if a huge boat was assumed, the price point would be higher. There were a couple mosquitos around, but the staff were very willing to immediately put up mosquito netting on our beds.

Being remote and so beautiful

It will be easy to upgrade the bathroom, shower heads, vanity, no mirror in the bathroom. No hooks to hang clothes and towels. Towels holders or hooks will be easy to install.

Really beautiful and secluded island. But what made it special was the staff on the island. Marco and Aldin are great fun to hang around with and made us feel at home. Would recommend to anyone who wants to avoid the crowds.

Rooms are basic, but the beautiful island and staff more than make up for it.

It‘s a very quid Island with friendly personal. I was now my third time on Modessa Island. The beach is very clean and good for snorkeling. There are many colorful corals at two sides of the Island. The resort has a shuttle service to pick up at Roxas City from the pier. The price include full board and the food is very good.

The only point is that some of the buildings at the backside of Island need a upgrade. They where destroyed of the last Taifune at Honda Bay

Outstanding island/location, natural beauty, value for money, friendly and fun staff, food, vibe.

The only down side, infrastructure wise it’s quite rough and ready so not for the faint hearted used to luxury (not that we were expecting something else though!)

We had wonderful time in Modessa. Thank you very much for everything. Great location, facilities and service. We can recommend it to everyone who is looking for a quite holiday surrounded by beautiful nature.

small private island, there was about 20 people incl. staff basic cottages but we liked it :-)

for me there was smaller portions of food, so if you are eater take some snacks with you :-D

Amazing snorkelling and great opportunity to unplug

Everything was great, bring ear plugs for the boat ride :-)
