Everything was great - the room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with plenty of storage space, a sofa, two armchairs, a beautiful rug on the floor, good lighting, bedside tables as well as a small round coffee table and desk with a chair. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was good. The air conditioning was efficient, but it was also possible to open the (mosquito-netted) windows, which gave out onto the garden, with a view of an enormous new mosque in the distance. The staff were very professional, as well as being helpful and friendly; they came to collect us at the station and arranged a car for a trip to Margilon and Rishton, as well as a taxi to the station when we left. The breakfast was very good, with a wide range of delicious dishes, and could be eaten either in the restaurant or in one of the small covered pavilions in the garden. The restaurant also provides lunch and dinner (for an additional, though not expensive, charge), which we ate in the very pleasant atmosphere of the garden. The location of the hotel is good, not far from the Khan’s palace and the other sights of Kokand. We were able to walk everywhere.

While the restaurant food was good, the menu for lunch and dinner was always the same, so it became a little monotonous and there was very little choice of vegetarian dishes. We suggested to the hotel manager that they offer more vegetarian dishes and possibly change the menu from day to day, offering fewer dishes, but overall greater variety.

I asked reception if they could help us with getting a ride to the border. The staff promised answers a couple of times and then didn't have them. Perhaps it was a language issue but if that was the case we needed to know. We eventually were told that they could arrange a driver for us. The price was much higher than Yandex but we decided to use him because it was promised that he was a good driver and would be careful. However he was not careful and we spent most of the time straddling the centre line of the road, passing people. I would advise people to use Yandex. Much cheaper and surely just as safe.

Throughout our two week long stay in Uzbekistan it was the best hotel experience. The hospitality of people in Fergana Valley is legendary, but Silk Road is something extraordinary. Perfect customer service, always ahead of any needs you may have, with heartwarming kindness and smiles. We’ve been served early breakfast because of our morning train (a delicious treat, loved the tiny pancakes with cottage cheese), and the hotel offered free tranfer to the railaw station (10 minutes drive). We’ve enjoyed a wonderful evening in the hotel garden with complimentary set of fruits and delicious Uzbek dinner (do try mastawa soup and the local riesling!). The room was super comfortable and spacious, lush design, huge shower, very comfortable beds and pillows, big windows with garden view and the mosque in the horizon. The hotel is just a nice walk away from the palace and the Juma Masjid, placed in a quiet area. With hordes of birds hiding in the trees at sunset. We couldn’t possibly expect more and we were deeply impressed with the quality Silk Sand offers in every aspect.

It was absolutely amazing. The most friendly staff we've ever encountered in a hotel. The rooms are very big and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the airco was working perfectly The restaurant has good food and service. Also it is very nice to sit in the garden to enjoy a drink. We were served complementary fruits and tea which was so so nice! Also the staff speaks English very well. We loved it! Also we forgot the registration paper; however they send it to us via e-mail the same day.

The hotel is quiet and calm, discreet behind a wall separating it from a fairly busy road. The staff were courteous and attentive. Good English was spoken by the majority of the staff and those who spoke only a little English ensured they communicated well with us. The room we stayed in was delightful - spacious and elegantly furnished. We had two windows overlooking the garden, enhancing the feeling of calm and well being. The two single beds were wide and comfortable, although slightly too soft to be ideal for us. The bathroom was newly decorated and well supplied with toiletries (toothbrush, shaving kit, etc but no hair conditioner nor body lotion). Laundry was carried out swiftly and well. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and items were swiftly replaced whenever necessary. Dinner was delicious. We very much enjoyed eating dinner in the garden both nights of our stay. The waitstaff brought blankets to ensure we didn't feel the cold once the sun went down. The location was good. The main Khan's palace was about 30 minutes walk away along the busy road. Staff on the front desk called taxis for us on the way out and marshrutkas ran past the hotel for the return journey if we failed to find a taxi. This is a great hotel and I would happily stay again. We were sad to leave.

This was the best hotel I stayed in in Uzbekistan. Everything worked, which was often not the case, the bathrooms were up to date and exceptionally clean, beds were clean and comfortable and the room was SPACIOUS. The best experience in my 4 weeks in country

Our stay at this lodging was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to Uzbekistan. It perfectly matched the description provided on Booking.com in every aspect. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the room was spacious, equipped with all necessary amenities, and more. The breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a comprehensive selection. What more could one ask for? Thank you for a delightful, albeit brief, stay.

The Hotel is just simply amazing, super clean and tidy the staff are really helpful and looking forward to provide you with a high level of service. The location is good, the palace is walking distance from the hotel and the same applies to the Juma Mosque. The breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options to choose from.

Nothing to add, overall a great place to stay with a high level of service and great facilities.

European style, spacious and bright rooms, high ceiling. Good water pressure in the shower. Staff is absolutely perfect: they upgrade us for free in order to provide garden view instead of street view. They also have a nice restaurant downstairs with a choice of local wine (we didn’t see alcohol somewhere else in Kokand).

The rooms are spacious and clean. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and very comfortable beds. The staff is attentive and exceptionally friendly, always willing to assist with travel plans or recommendations for local attractions. The breakfast buffet, featuring fresh local dishes, is a great way to start the day. I highly recommend the Silk Road Hotel!
