The staff were efficient, competent and friendly. The room had really good views of the towers on the mountain tops. The restaurant was excellent and breakfast was well organised, quiet and relaxing. This hotel was in an excellent location

There was ingenious use of space to fit so much into such a small room. The bed dominated the room, however shoes and other articles could be placed on the windowsills to allow walking space around the bed. The wardrobe hanging bar was 2.5m above the floor, with a stick provided to lift coat hangers up to the hanging bar. Whilst there was only one chair in the room, there were chairs in the passageway outside the room for those who wanted to sit and read.

We were here for 3 nights to enjoy sightseeing in San Marino. The hotel was centrally located among all the various sights. Very easy to walk to all the attractions. The staff (restaurant, reception and room service) were all very polite and helpful. The on-site restaurant had a full menu with a wide variety of choices and was open for lunch and dinner. The meals were excellent. The morning breakfast was also excellent with choices ranging from bacon and eggs, pancakes, cereal, fruit, breads, cheeses and meats. The WiFi was fast and worked flawlessly. If you are arriving from Rimini by bus, the walk from the bus stop to the hotel is about 19 minutes and is all up hill. We arrived in San Marino after dark, so we took a taxi from Rimini to the hotel at a cost of 65 Euros.

The lack of on demand transportation could be an issue for some. While there are taxis in San Marino, they are extremely limited and run only on a reservation basis. The taxis are not metered and the fare from the hotel to the bus stop was 20 Euros. Make sure to make your reservation 24 hours in advance. Our only negative about our hotel accommodation was the bathroom shower tile grout was dirty.

We had a beautiful room overlooking the archway as you enter the historical area. The views were amazing. Not realizing there is a train to take you to the top for 3€ each we walked to the top. The train runs from 9am to 6 pm or the hotel can call you a taxi. Breakfast had a very good selection of hot food to sweets, fruit, cereal selection - a really good variety of everything. Coffee of choice made for you. The restaurant is amazing and a must! You are well taken care of by very experienced staff and incredibly food. We were there for two dinners so able to try the set menus and a la carte. It was so good we tipped extra from the cover charge. The historical area is beautiful. You can purchase a pass that provides access to all except the private museums like soccer/football which is really good all about the San Marino team There are lots of restaurants and shops as well. The bus from Rimini is only 7€ per person. Overall the staff at the hotel were wonderful the people we met were very friendly and the area is breathtaking. We highly recommend a visit and we definitely want to return.

What a great central location , the hotel is perched at the top of the old town and the views are amazing. The room was well appointed and had all the amenities that you need. The air conditioning was not great, but I think was as its not the ' summer season' but I opened the window which was great for fresh air. We were lucky to get two rooms on the first floor , where there is also a small terrace where we enjoyed wine bought from across the street for sundowners. The staff were great, breakfast was OK with hot and cold choices, juices and hot drinks.

The nearest car park always seems to be busy , but there is a dedicated space for you to park in so you can unload and drop off your bags. Then you need to find a free space.

This is a stellar location for exploring San Marino - and the hotel itself is a beautiful, cozy, mid-century jewel box. Lovely dining options, patios looking at the town hall square. Lovely people - so gracious and helpful in every way, offering a discount on parking, and serving up a lovely latte in the breakfast room. Just lively enough with some music in the evening we were there - but that we could not hear in our room!

If you are a bigger person, the shower stall is a bit tight to get in and out. But the bathroom is charming and has a large window to cool off after a steamy shower. We needed two beds in our room and one was a good quality twin on the side - that is the only reason our room felt a bit small.

The view from the balcony for sunset must be the best in all of San Marino - incredible memories, eating pizzas and sipping sundowners on the balcony with the family. Location inside the Old Town is also excellent - right in the middle of everything. The staff were helpful and friendly, including allowing us to bring in food and drinks from outside.

Lack of parking - just one space in the P9 carpark was for Hotel Cesare, which was always occupied. At a busy time of year, we had to park waaay down in the other carparks, and push our luggage up steep hills for 20 minutes. Rooms are a bit dull, tired and worn looking - if it was not for the spectacular view, the room itself would be a disappointment. But thankfully the spectacular view and the location was the real reason we were there.

The location was great - just by car park 6 and easy walking distance to the towers. The lady at reception when we arrived was very friendly and helpful and explained that we could pay for the carpark as part of our hotel bill - just 6 euros. The room was clean and comfortable and a decent size. We ate in the restaurant attached to the hotel, along with our dog who was allowed in, and had a lovely meal with good Sam Marino wine and attentive service. I was glad to have dressed warmly though as the chill from the windows was noticeable. The warmth from the fire where the meat was cooked soon compensated though and it was fascinating to see the skill in getting the cooking just right.

The fire alarm going off the morning we left and the poor receptionist was struggling with the code to turn it off. The breakfast wasnt the greatest, but at just over €80 for bed and breakfast I am certainly not complaining. I guess it's partly the nature of a (very attractive) old building, but we struggled to find sockets to plug our phone chargers into.

A lovely hotel just inside the city walls. The city attractions are all walkable from here and a car park is very close. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a range of options available. The restaurant has a bar where you can buy a drink to take back into the hotel. Downstairs there is a shady outdoor area to sit out or there is a nice little balcony, on the first floor, with seating and a view to the west to enjoy the sunset.

A little pricey for a single room.

Brilliant location in the heart of the beautiful old town. It is a hike from the bus stop but well worth it. Comfortable bed, the room is small as described but suited us fine. The views are super from various places in the hotel. Staff provided us with a kettle when we asked for hot water, and the umbrellas to borrow were a real bonus! Easy to walk to all the tourist spots and lots of excellent cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. Decent breakfast, a really good value stay.

The rooms are dated, but that didn't bother us.

The room was very nice with amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was adequate could do with a bit more variation. Staff very helpful.

I was disappointed that there was no bath because on the advertisement a bath was shown on lots of the pictures. My partner was not well on our departure and unable to manage the cases down the very steep steps to the bus stop. I asked the receptionist if it was possible to get a taxi which she did. The journey took 4 minutes and we were charged £25 which left me feeling cheated and I feel the hotel needs to be aware of this for future reference.
