Great location to explore all the beautiful Kakadu has to offer. Rooms are equipped to give respite from the heat, air conditioning and dehumidifiers, art galleries with local indigenous art on display, restaurant open for breakfast lunch and dinner

It is a little bit tired, stains on carpets and dodgy door locks on sliding doors to pool and gardens

This is an amazing hotel. It’s form is really well fitting the environment it is also very discreetly nested withi n the park. The swimming pool was great, shadowed, so we could use it during the lunch break time in the middle of the day. It is opened until 22 hrs! . Hotel is located very well, close to all important visiting sites. Breakfast generous and very tasty. We booked evening meal. Unfettered very nice even if fairly standard. Menu list was elaborated and we could get delicious and very nicely prepared meal there as well.. beds very comfortable. In the morning kakadu make such noise that one is woken up for 30 minutes at 5 am. We liked it!

All was perfect. Pity there was not a plate in the room to put little notes etc for the aperitif time.

Nice motel but a little dated. Had a good room on ground floor with direct access to pool. No lifts for second level. So if you have mobility issues like my husband you need ground floor room. Bar area for pre drinks was very nice Able to park our car close to room in disabled spot Staff were very friendly and happy to help with things

Only one restaurant for all meals so not much choice. Food was quite expensive Tours do leave from the property but we’re all booked up when we got there. To drive to Cooinda for yellow waters cruise was 50+km each way. So location was not as convenient as I thought it would be.

The location of this hotel is great for exploring Kakadu. the staff were very nice. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights. The food was excellent, the wine list good and the service good. The meals using native ingredients like crocodile and kangaroo were particularly good.

The bathroom was tired with old style "shower in the bathtub" bathrooms and serviced cheaply, e.g. towels were old, thin and hard; no plates, only 1 teaspoon, The ambience in the restaurant could be improved by toning down the lights by at least 50%

Stayed during the Wet Season so the hotel was relatively quiet. Slightly older rooms but clean and tidy. The pool was large and refreshingly cool - has a small very shallow area for small children. The restaurant is a large well-appointed area, with a bar and bistro section with couches and low tables, and then a regular sit-down area. Dinner was slightly busier with 6-7 tables filled when we were there - service was polite, the food was absolutely delicious (our group had steak, pork, and kangaroo and all options were equally tasty). Food prices are pricier than even in Darwin but that’s not unexpected given the remote location and time of the year. The hotel also has a unique features in that it has an art gallery displaying Indigenous art works and crafts that are for sale. The hotel can organise postage of your artwork to your usual address if it is too big to carry with you. There is also a gift shop in the front foyer which stocks a range of drinks and snacks, and merchandise that is very reasonably priced (Kakadu-themed / house of Darwin t shirts for $69.95, drink bottles/coffee cups, hats, tote bags etc). Overall a very pleasant stay, and we hope to return!

Our stay at the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel was overall pleasant. The hotel's crocodile-shaped design is definitely a unique feature, and it adds a fun, quirky touch to the experience. The location is convenient for exploring Kakadu National Park, making it easy to access the major attractions in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, which was important given the heat, but a few areas could use a refresh to match the four-star rating. The pool was a nice way to cool off after a day of sightseeing, though it was quite busy at times. The restaurant offered a decent selection of meals, and the breakfast buffet had a variety of options. Overall, it's a solid option for staying in Kakadu if you want something unique and centrally located.

We thought the food was excellent - we had room service, buffet breakfast and dined in the restaurant and at all times could not fault the food or the service we received. The staff at reception were very welcoming and the room was very clean. Located within the township of Jabiru we found we could walk to the grocery store and art gallery and was an easy access point to other tourist attractions within Kakadu. We would definately stay at this hotel again.

This hotel was built in 1988 and looks a bit tired. But the architectural concept in creating a crocodile shape is amazing. Checkin was friendly and efficient. We requested a room on the top floor and were allocated 238. Perfect location half way along the crocodile ‘body’. The room was clean and recently painted but the ensuite looked tired and in need of a makeover. We ate at the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent.

A number of indigenous men and women hung around the hotel near the restaurant. They seemed harmless enough and no attempt was made to move them on. But I’d avoid a room at ground level as it felt insecure. Btw, I’m from Brisbane Australia, not Hongkong. Booking.com appear incapable of correcting an error in its system.

The food at the restaurant exceeded our expectations and the hotel was clean, quiet and very comfortable. It was lovely to return for a colling swim in the pool after our walks. The staff were really lovely and very friendly.

More information about Kakadu and possibly some ranger talks or information sessions as during the wet seasons it seems the National Park service does not organise anything like that. Might be good for the hotel to supplement for its guests.

I absolutely loved the commitment to supporting local Aboriginal artists and the Ochre gallery featuring hundreds of artworks for sale. All the staff were exceptionally helpful, from my first phone call enquiring about our booking through to check in and check out. Buffet breakfast and dinner was good value as a family with reduced price for kids. Location close to Ubirr and Nourlangie was great.
