Room and facilities were all very nice and well maintained. Room was large and bathroom was very nice.

The free parking is a but of a walk away, but you could always pay the extra to park in the lot beside the building.

After several days staying in roadside motels it felt like a real treat to stay here. The rooms where very comfy and it was great watching the thunder and lightning tucked up in bed that night. We thought the on site restaurant was very good indeed and it was very helpful to have laundry facilities available when you’re on a long road trip.

Hotel, check in staff all great. Restaurant a bit of a cluster. Extremely slow service. Breakfast was terrible. My husband & I were seated before 2 large tables of 8 & 10. They had coffee & orders taken before we saw a waitress. We walked out after 45 minutes of no service. Restaurant 2 blocks away. We were in & out with excellent service in less than an hour.

Beautiful spot, a smidge overpriced but kinda worth it. Room is very clean and spacious. Very comfortable beds,great amenities. Excellent restaurant on site

Just a little over priced is all. A free breakfast would be nice to have included. Not a lot of convenient upper parking..for bigger vehicles/ moving trucks etc.

The hotel is clean, well maintained, beautiful view. We booked it with the breakfast included option, however the staff at the restaurant were confused and told us to pay for breakfast. After speaking to the receptionist they apologized for an error as the breakfast was included in the price, they got confused as the booking was made through a third party”Booking.com” The breakfast was very good, big portions.

Information about available services or those we did not qualify for because I was not a member of the Marriott Club Program was never discussed until we attempted to use. I felt continual pressure to join the Marriott Club Program. I could not join anyway as you would not accept the correct spelling of my name, disappointing considering this is 2023. Check in was not customer related. Some staff were very pleasing to deal with following check in. I did book the stay online and felt I was making the booking direct with Delta Marriott, but learned this was not true.

Front desk staff were very helpful and kind. Staff of the Anchor & Ore were great! One server in particular was so helpful answering some questions we had about places and things in Thunder Bay. I’m not completely sure but I think her name is Aidan.

The distance to the parking lot. We are both older and my husband has extremely bad knees. The walk from the parking lot was really long in the dark and rain. Also the front entrance littered with cigarette butts is not appealing in any way. Smokers need to be much farther away from the front door and encouraged to use ashtrays. It was quite gross!

Everything, including the free jazz band playing in the restaurant -lobby in the one evening. The gym was actually a great size with good equipment and not just cardio machines.

For the price I was a bit disappointed that breakfast was not included or that there was no swimming pool. Fairly common offer with most hotels, yet that’s twice I notice that Marriott’s more exclusive hotels offer less for more money.

Housekeeping has issues. Did not make up room despite several calls and promises? Only leaves 1 caffeinated coffee in room for the coffee maker ? Gotta split it with the wife ??
