The bathroom was very nice especially the soaker tub. There was space with lots of counters. Was surprised there was a microwave which was nice.

No air conditioning. The bed was supported on a simple steel bread frame. No ice machine or vending machines.

ongoing room renovations are good. The owner cares about his customers and wants you to come back and we did while we were in town.

Nothing that can be done about the location. All motels are very close to the train station and switching yard. That was the only disappointment as often the train cars were shunted in the evening but not as much in the night.

This is not a fancy place in a desirable location. It is functional, clean, bed is comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower, and they welcome man's best friend.

Lots of water pressure in the shower, not so much from the sink tap. Close to a rail line, but it did not bother me - not too busy

I think for the price I paid it was a good place to stay. Other properties on the same street, which I have stayed in, were not as good.

There was no coffee maker but that's not a deal breaker and I will stay here whenever I am in town.

The property was clean and well maintained, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was new. Good internet connection, and the parking was easy and secure.

the price was a bit at the high end, however you get more than what is expected from a motel.

Ad should not say you can walk to Lake Superior in five minutes, as there are train tracks behind property making that impossible. You can drive to Fisherman's Park north of the motel in five minutes, and that is very nice. the ad also said there are coffee makers in the rooms, which there are not, but not a big deal when there is microwave and frig. $20 a night charge for our Shi Tzu, not sure why.

I have stayed there many times over the years, but, because of the pandemic, not for a couple of years, give or take a few months, but, the man at the front desk, (the owner?), recognized me and chatted as if we see each other constantly, and that impressed me, seeing that he must see hundreds of people every month.

The room was very well-equipped, with fridge, microwave, comfortable bed and EXCELLENT wifi! Lots of hot water, and a very friendly man checked us in. The door was opened with a key code (no key to misplace), and checkout was a breeze - we just left!

There was no coffeemaker in the room.
