We liked the spaciousness of everything, the fact that we could choose whether or not to have the room tidied up during our stay, the availability of a refrigerator, a roomy surface and an extra sink for working with bring-home meals, multi-purpose furniture (such as easily movable block seats that could be used for TV watching and elevating suitcases, the breakfasts which always included eggs, a meat and potatoes. The location was very convenient for driving to sites we wanted to visit, to finding take-out food and to getting to and from the airport. The staff were helpful and always had a friendly greeting for us.

I was unsure if the refrigerator was set at a proper temperature. However, I could have asked the staff to confirm, and anyhow, the water bottles and foods we put into the refrigerator did eventually get cold.

The king size bed/suite was exquisite. The staff went over and above to assist me. I was offered wine glasses to take to my room and could store my luggage at the hotel after check out. The breakfast was delicious. There was so much to choose from.

I booked one night first. Then, the next day I booked a second night. Since I didn't have the option to reserve the same room, I had to book a basic room. When completing the second reservation, I had requested to remain in the same room and it was approved. When checking in, it was explained that since I booked different types of rooms and on different websites, I couldn't be accommodated. This was disappointing and a little inconvenient to check out of the first room, store my luggage, and then check into the second room after 3 pm. I will remember to reserve all nights at once with the same booking app.

It’s clean and comfortable. It’s in the right part of town, the rest of town is very sad and run down. The rooms are big and washroom was spacious.

Breakfast was okay, the juice is very watered down. The sign for the parking lot when coming from the back way is not big enough and we missed the turn in, it is in front of a parking lot with the Valhalla and I feel they need more parking lot security between the two hotels, we wanted to use the only cart to bring in our things; it wasn’t in use but the front desk didn’t allow us to, they are missing some sort of food options for night because after 8 thé restaurants in the area are closed.

The breakfast buffet was very tasty. The location was near stores and restaurants.

I was looking forward to swimming after a very long drive to Thunder Bay from Sault Saint-Marie. The pool and the pool room were both freezing cold and were not enjoyable at all. How do you expect your guests to enjoy a non heated pool during the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons? Additionally, I would expect the hotel to offer slippers for a $240 per night rate.

breakfast was good. room was very clean, nice bathroom, lots of towels, very comfortable beds. bar fridge and microwave in room. even though we faced a busy street, there was no traffic noise. slept very well. good location for access to highway west going to kenora.

the weather was wet and slushy, so I think boot trays in each room would cut down on gravel and sand being tracked into the room.

Good location, clean

I did not like the lack of recycling bins in the rooms and the fact that they use plastic forks & knives for the breakfast in the lobby. The plastic crises is terrible, they could use stainless steel cutlery & have a dishwasher. And try to do something positive for Thunder Bay’s environment.

Breakfast was what I expected. Lots to eat and decent quality, location was great for our purpose. Staff was friendly

Although comfortable, beds seemed to get us to roll to one spot with a bit of a sag(room 212). Did not get a seniors or CAA discount as it was a third party booking. Lesson learned

Close to airport with shuttle Large room

Staff were not overly friendly or helpful. I had asked Booking.com for a quiet room and was given one immediately across from the elevator. Staff said this request had not been communicated and were unable to change this room even though I was willing to pay more.

Property well maintained - very clean and cared for, rooms were spacious and comfortable, Breakfast was excellent with lots of options. Ample Parking was available.

Entrance to property kind of funky. There is no direct access off Arthur Street which was a little confusing until you saw signage indicating access from a side road,

The app and remote check in/out was nice, and the treat shop at the front desk is convenient. I mainly booked because of the free shuttle to and from the airport.

The sliding door for the washroom and closet wasn't my favourite. Would prefer an actual door with a lock. Also the fan wasn't working in the washroom, would be better with a switch you can control that isn't set to turn on with lights, if that was how it was supposed to work.
