Breakfast is good, plenty of options of local food as well as international foods. My favorite is the instant noodle and the range of traditional snacks. Location is superb, within walking distance there are plenty of restaurants. If you want to use taxi or grab within 20k IDR you can get to Makassar China town. The facilities of gym and pool also nice, some suggestions for the air con at the gym, it's so hot and stuffy in the morning, i think because the air con just turned on when the gym open at 6am and not strong enough to cool down the whole floor. Apart from that, I found the equipments in the gym are good, with plenty of dumbell and smith machines with Olympic bar if you don't want use the bar from smith machine. The staff are really friendly and professional.

The air con at the gym, need to improve the coolness. Also if the gym could open a bit longer until 9pm.

Big room / big bathroom / free drinking water on every floor / beautiful swimming pool overlooking the city

We wanted to try out the swimming pool but left immediately because of the atmosphere: we feel like entering the kids area of a public swimming pool (screaming, jumping, running around. no adult telling the kids to behave so that every guest can enjoy the pool) And we were a bit disappointed by the fact that they did not refund or offer us anything (on a voluntary basis) - e.g the cost of the extra bed for our child - because we paid for two nights but arrived one day late because of flight cancellation;

An outstanding value for staying in Makassar. Location is central with modern hotel, comfortable amenities in a spacious room. Everything is super clean. Staff is extremely welcoming, hospitable and very helpful with providing guidance and advice. Breakfast is good with diverse choices. I was able to use the pool to relax on the afternoon while waiting for my night bus to Rantepao. An excellent choice for Makassar.

So welcoming, and staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The room was amazing and huge! We enjoyed the pool and access to the executive lounge with delicious afternoon tea. Breakfast was amazing and meals in the restaurant were good too.

The bar was a little understocked in terms of spirits but beer selection was good.

We stayed in the junior suite. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was helpfull and kind. Breakfast was good and tastefull. Lots of choices. We liked the pool area, clean and good swimmingpool with a great view. The spa massage was good. We only can say that we enjoyed our stay. In the past we also stayed in this hotel and in future we hope to visit this hotel again. We will recommend this hotel for sure!

Just had my first stay at Aston in the city of Makassar, one of the hotels that has implemented a sustainable environmental care concept. Very impressed with the restaurant service as well, and there is an employee who maintains his integrity, given a fee for a thank-you when delivering the suitcase to the room, but he refused without reducing respect for the guest (on behalf of Rahman).

The location is superb, and the staff were very friendly and excellent. The breakfast was great, with lots of options to choose from.

Minor things could go wrong if accumulated, such as flickering ceiling lights and broken desktop lights in my room. Once I addressed the issues, they responded immediately. So, thumbs up to the crews. Also, it would be awesome if the hotel provided hand towels. But as I said, it was very minor.

Great hotel with good staff. The breakfast is also great, a very large variety of dishes is served on buffet. The hotel bar on the 19th floor serves you, on a ver friendly way, a cold beer to accompany you watching football games of the Indonesian first league or while listening to live music they have on stage now and then.

I had a suite on 10th floor. Room was huge with floor to roof windows. Fantastic panoramic view. Very comfortable living space, table and desk, couch and chair w table for dining. Very nice staff all around.

Wish there was a little more variety with nearby restaurants or a lounge. Only other complaint is why is it impossible to find Soda water in both the main restaurant and the rooftop lounge. In all fairness the Circle K store next door also did not have Soda water as well

"In general, the stay has been good. The service from the boys and girls who run the hotel is excellent. They are very polite and very willing to meet any need or service that the user may require. Otherwise, everything is fine."

The only downside I see is that all the rooms smell quite strongly of tobacco. In the bar, on the rooftop, people smoke inside the facilities. That's the only downside I see.
