I don't think there is a better host and accommodation than this one on booking and here is the explanation. Pankaj (the host) welcomed us at 5 am even though we were supposed to arrive after 12... he even showed us must-visit places that we didn't know about, he drove us to the subway with his car and showed us good restaurants, shops etc. he was available at any time of the day for all questions and services, he even offered more without asking for anything in return... the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, enough space, it's even better in person than in the pictures and most importantly, it's located in a safe area. high score deserved. thank you for everything!

This is a fantastic homestay. Pankaj is a superb host and fully earns his top ratings. The location is in a quite suburb near a park but still gives you a taste of local atmosphere. Being a homestay and not a bed and breakfast there are no meals provided but rooms all have a fridge, plates, bowls, spoons etc and access to a microwave. There is a nearby grocery store that can supply food items. Rooms also have showers, full water bottles, tea, coffee and a kettle. There are some great options for meals a short walk away with restaurants and coffee shops to suit all kinds of meal. Delhi is an energetic metropolis and Pankaj is one of it’s greatest ambassadors. He will certainly help you find your way around the transport and site seeing options. Don’t forget though to take time to just hang out on the homestay’s roof terrace and enjoy just being at home in a fascinating city.

We stayed previously at Tatvamasi's and had an excellent experience. It was therefore a no-brainer when our daughter travelled to Delhi alone, needing a safe and comfortable place to stay. As expected, she felt safe, comfortable and supported during her stay. Pankaj provided her with a warm welcome, took time to discuss safety as well as sightseeing tips, and showed her the neighbourhood. He checked in with her regularly to ensure her safety and well-being and provided advice and guidance as needed. She reported enjoying the spacious room, reliable wifi, quiet location and the excellent Chai tea. In short, another great stay at Tatvamasi. Thank you!

Not staying long enough

There are two concerns in India, Safety, and Hygiene, absolutely no concern here! I don't know even where to start: - Mr. Pankaj is absolutely amazing, he is super helpful, he guided me through everything, what to avoid at the airport! at the area! where to visit? how, when, and where! - He showed me how to use Metro! gave a metro card! traveled to a different city with his card - He himself came out with me to take taxi for me when needed! - He dropped me at Metro station using his own car! - He always offers Chai (Tea) and he always provides you what you need. they always find a way! - The staff are super polite! like wow! super amazing! everyone is amazing here! so lovely! - He waited for me to be absolutely sure how long I need to stay (since I wasn't sure and I had a flexi ticket), then I paid later..... seriously, where it happens? what else can be done? where do you get all these? he is the best part of this (kindness, hospitality, helpful!...etc) - The place is super safe! I always felt I am at home! I never felt that safe in my travel! let alone in India! - The hygiene issue is not much of a concern here! while its a huge issue in the country! - The room has adapters/socket for non-indian plugs! no need to run around to charge your laptop/mobile. You will not be as comfortable and relax in a 5 star hotel! and I never write feedback in that level of detail! first time in my life! for a reason!

Go find it! literally PERFECT! I do %100 recommend it! I booked it for 6/7 nights and ended up staying/extending it for additional two nights!

We had a wonderful stay at Tatvamasi Homestay! This was our first time in India, and staying here was a great choice! The rooms are very spacious and clean, with air conditioning and hot water. The homestay is in a nice, quiet neighbourhood, close to a market with good restaurants and to the metro station. Pankaj was a great host! He greeted us at arrival, we were able to get our room a bit earlier to rest after our flight. He gave us lots of recommendations for spots around Delhi for sightseeing, food, transportation which helped us easily acclimate to Delhi and get the most out of our days here. Was very fun to sit and chat with him (over chai). Highly recommend! Thank you Pankaj!

I had a fantastic stay at Tatvamasi Homestay— it exceeded my expectations in every way. Pankaj, in particular, was an outstanding host who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. Upon arrival, he personally drove me around the area, pointing out nearby restaurants and shops, and then sat down with me to plan a detailed itinerary for my time in Delhi. He helped me prioritize the best places to visit and how to group them efficiently. Beyond that, he welcomed me to share tea and fruit with his family and even offered to take me to the pharmacy when I fell ill. The homestay itself was excellent— clean, well-kept rooms with plenty of drinking water. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and there was always hot water available, making for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The neighborhood is residential, offering a quieter, more local experience while still having great dining and going-out options nearby. I highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment— especially for those who appreciate the warmth of staying with a local host who truly cares about making your visit memorable.

Everything was great—no complaints at all!

There is so many great things we want to say about our stay. The host Pankaj went above and beyond, he answered all of our questions and even WhatsApp messages (about things to do, pricing, booking rides, etc). We reserved two rooms as three of us were traveling, two of which shared a room, and the rooms were spacious and beyond comfortable. Above all, the location is AMAZING. It's quiet and you can sleep at night and trust us, after a few days in Delhi, you'll want all the peace and calm you can get. Great restaurants nearby, easy Uber rides, great coffee, too. We couldn't have chosen a better location for our first time in Delhi. You are about 30 minutes from Chadni Chowk and other major city temples but Ubers are cheap and we'd rather sacrifice travel time than sleep in all of the noise.

If you're sharing a room, you'll need to wait 10-15 minutes after a person takes a hot shower as it runs cold after. But we didn't have any issues with this, and no other issues either.

I was a solo traveler and stayed about 10 days. Location - excellent - many places in walking distance. Uber also is easy and economical. Comfort and clean - beds super comfortable. Rooms and premises spotless. Easy kitchen access if needed. Filtered water and even cold water in refrigerator - such a nice touch. Hospitality - The owner, Pankaj, is everything and more you could ask for in a host. He is friendly and willing to provide as much guidance as you may like. Upon arriving he took me for a ride so that I could be oriented to the neighborhood. He also helped me in a handful of tasks providing guidance and assistance. His staff is superb; always offering to help with luggage or offer chai. I will surely return!

Nothing to say…

Travelling with children, I was a little apprehensive about arriving in Delhi at night and being disoriented. I needn't have worried. From our first correspondence via email re booking an airport taxi to our last night in Delhi, Pankaj, the host, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and hands-on. The rooms and bathroom were spotless and the homestay had a relaxing feel. The location was also great (in a quieter district of Delhi), and we spent a lot of time in the local shopping and food hub. Additionally, if this is your first visit to India, then this would be a great place to stay to acclimatise to the hustle and bustle of Delhi. We liked everything.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tatvamasi Homestay twice – once at the beginning of our trip to India and again at the end, before our flight home. I discovered this place through an article that recommended it, and its excellent reviews convinced us to book. We can confidently say that this homestay is the perfect choice for starting your journey in India, largely thanks to the amazing owner, who truly lives up to all the praise he receives in other reviews. The owner was incredibly helpful, giving us lots of useful advice. He even let us choose our room since he had two available and kindly gave us a short tour of South Delhi to show us the area’s cafes and restaurants. The rooms are exceptionally clean – much cleaner than most hotels we’ve stayed at. Towels were changed daily, and he also provided us with plenty of filtered water bottles, which was very thoughtful. The owner also helped us with laundry for a very reasonable price (15 rupees per item, though this price might change in the future). We were lucky to be there on New Year’s Eve when he organized a small gathering on the rooftop terrace. It was such a cozy evening – he served us some delicious treats, and we all warmed up around a small fire, sharing stories and enjoying the festive atmosphere. We wholeheartedly recommend Tatvamasi Homestay for anyone visiting New Delhi. It’s more than just a place to stay – it’s a warm, welcoming home that makes your trip even more memorable.
