I recently stayed at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Having previously stayed at a Shangri-La in Beijing, my expectations were high — and this hotel delivered on every level. My room was on the 18th floor with breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour. It was incredibly cozy, beautifully maintained, and offered the perfect space to relax and recharge. From the moment I arrived, the service was flawless. I was picked up from Hong Kong Airport in a comfortable car, and the warm, professional welcome set the tone for the rest of my stay (check out my story highlights “2025 Hong Kong” for a glimpse 😉). What truly stood out was the exceptional guest service. I was treated like a VIP, with check-in done right in my room — such a thoughtful and smooth process. A heartfelt thank you to Amber Lee, the Guest Relations Manager, for going above and beyond. Her attention to detail, the welcome amenities, snacks, sweets, tea, and beautiful gifts made me feel genuinely special. She turned my stay into a memorable experience that made me wish I could stay in Hong Kong longer! Everything about this hotel speaks of comfort, elegance, and outstanding hospitality. If you're planning a trip to Hong Kong, I highly recommend staying at Kowloon Shangri-La. The location is perfect — within walking distance to many city highlights — and the experience is worth every moment.

Clean and convenient

Concierge told us to follow him to the luggage room to pick up our luggage. He should have brought them out to us at the lobby. Hair dryer should not be stuck to the drawer as it should be used even if someone else is showering (especially between friends).

We had harbour view which was lovely. Rooms very large and comfy. Location of hotel is excellent. Breakfast is amazing. So much choice. Everything was perfect.

Food services could use help. They had a wide variety for different nationalities but there was too much emphasis on fish and shellfish.

The room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with great amenities. The location is excellent. It is convenient and close to many attractions, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We also appreciated seeing a few fellow countrymen among the staff, it added a warm and familiar touch to our experience.

Suite was an upgrade given free but the room wasn’t great in terms of cleanliness and fittings. Needs a bit of a makeover.

Service was good. Staff were very helpful. We reached around 1pm+ to check in. Rooms were not ready, the check in counter staff told us to head out for lunch and be back at 3pm for the rooms. we did as that and returned at 3pm and was informed the rooms were still not ready. He gave us complimentary coffee at the hotel lounge to enjoy as we continue to wait. He delivered the room cards to us at the lounge area. Rooms are big. Location is good, just by the harbour, connected by a bridge from the hotel.
