Located on the Beetszee with its extensive lawns, mature trees, and its own small beach and Swans, it’s peaceful and calm. It was perfectly located for my participation in the Worlds Masters Rowing races on the same lake. It is located at one end of the 2 km rowing course just away from the hustle and bustle of the regatta. The food is served buffet style, breakfast and dinner, and is very reasonably priced. Some of the dinner dishes -which changed nightly- reminded me of my German-American grandmother’s cooking. The whole presentation is a lot like an Iowa church supper with generous portions of wholesome delicious food for canoeists, bikers and walkers.

We stayed at the hotel because it was close to an event at the lake. The hotel is nicely presented and the room and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was included and there is ample parking.

The food was plentiful but average. We opted not to pay for dinner after the first night. We also communicated with the hotel via Booking.com but the hotel claimed that they did not receive any of the messages. This was very frustrating

Nice outlook onto the lake, approx 5km to town and cafes. Very attentive staff we were well looked after. Buffet breakfast catered for all.

This was a pleasant stay. The carpark can flood in heavy rain so chose your parking spot well haha.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean. It would be fine if there is kettle or coffee machine in the room. You need to walk around 20-30 minutes if you use bus. You are better if you go there by bicycle or car

The location is idyllic. I enjoyed walking outside with my family and with our dog. Speaking of the dogs, these are treated especially well. Our dog even received a treat package upon check-in. The parking was quite spacious, too. The receptionist lady was very friendly (unfortunately, the others were not as much).

You can't just go to the restaurant and order some food: you receive a complete menu for EUR 25 per person. And the restaurant closes at 8:30pm, so if you arrive late, you'd better buy some sandwiches on your way, because you will not get any food. There is a bar, which is open till 10pm (and you may also sit there with your dog), but you are not allowed to take drinks to your room.

Being told the dining room was "very busy at 7pm" when it was nearly empty. Unable to get any refreshments, not even tea and coffee, outside meal times. Shower leaked. WiFi very unreliable. Evening meals mediocre.
