Loved the staff they were super helpful when we needed to book an extra two nights. The lady serving breakfast worked so hard and made an effort to speak English.

Sadly two things. We booked a meal in the restaurant which was cited as one of the best. The experience was sub standard as apparently they were short staffed. Very disappointing. However they did compensate a little for it. Also we had booked this hotel to rest and relax during a tour through France. For 2 days work went on in the restaurant meaning it was incredibly loud and noisy and there was not an opportunity in those days to sit by the pool and relax due to the noise.

This was the 3rd time we stayed in Villa Duflot for a couple of days! Very comfortable boutique hotel in a Spanish-Catalan patio style. Set in a large garden, almost a park, with a very nice swimming-pool. The rooms have a good size, and they are all well-appointed, each one decorated in its individual style. Breakfast is good - and the cuisine in the restaurant is excellent.

The hotel is in the outskirts, meaning you need a car or a taxi to get into the center of Perpignan. As for service, everyone was very friendly but sometimes a bit disorganized during dinner.

Good and thoughtful villa. Great garden and easy car parking. Helpful reception staff. Eating around the pool is a good experience. Easy access. Close to city and to other places.

Some small details were missing like safe in the room not working, family suite was upstairs and just a view of the carpark, with no elevators but they helped with the luggages. Bathroom was large but needed couple more towel hangers etc. the main thing is the dinner menu (food quality) was not up to the standard of such a restaurant and service was understaffed so they were very busy but probably need a little more people to help.

Staff were amazing, everyone was so kind and helpful - real service with a smile. The food was seriously delicious - dinner was incredible, amazing meal and breakfast was really nice as well.

The property is pretty worn down - looks like everything needs a sprucing up e.g paint coming off the outside, random plastic tables on the lawn as you enter, paths not swept which took away from any kind of wow factor. The other thing is the location, it almost feels like a service station - on the edge of busy roads with nothing nearby in walking distance.

Really liked the little private terrace, we could sit outside and take in the beautiful outdoor heated pool and gardens (with orange and grapefruit trees provided a beautiful scent) and were protected from the wind. Room was well decorated, restaurant good (busy every night) and the staff were great. Just outside of Perpignan - an oasis of calm. Their freshly cooked eggs to order were the best and we benefitted from being able to choose breakfast when booking through Booking.com. Parking was easy and free. Huge bath towels, Nuxe toiletries and slippers that fit my large feet! Unlike some places the shower was really simple to operate (we had a mobility access room). We did not use the spa or the outdoor pool (which was open and people were swimming in it) but other guests who did said it was excellent.

Would have been more convenient if we could lock the patio door from the outside instead of having to walk through long corridors to get to the bar/restaurant, especially as we had a mobility room (it was right next door to the restaurant but only accessible by walking the length of the hotel). Not much choice of TV channels (not a deal breaker!). For the style of property would have expected a bit more of a traditional decor, and for the area perhaps a bit more Catalan flavour (both the food and the decor).

The staff were absolutely amazing. Every single one of them- friendly, helpful, patient, kind. They were fantastic. The location was great- close enough to bus stops and shopping/restaurants but also quiet. The room was comfortable and peaceful, and spotlessly clean. The pool and the bar area were definitely a highlight. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and enjoyed it very much, it was excellent quality. The room service food was great value for money and delicious. We also tried the spa, which we definitely recommend. Also have to say we loved the artwork in the hotel!

The only thing we think let the hotel down was the breakfast. For €25 per day per person I would expect a lot more in terms of range and quality. If it was €10 or even €15 it would have been ok, but that price is pretty high for what is on offer.

The hotel was in a lovely setting - it feels like an oasis of green as you drive in. Our room had a lovely view of a court yard with large palm trees and a fountain which we enjoyed. The food was outstanding - we ate at the restaurant one of the two nights we stayed and the food was just wonderful, as were the staff. The breakfast was also excellent quality. The bed was comfortable and quiet.

The room was comfortable but dated - the bathroom needs updating and a rain shower put in as, for the price of the room, the bathroom and shower were not particularly up to the standard we’d expect. The room itself could also do with a little refreshing and updating but was perfectly good.

The rooms were big, artsy and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable beds and pillows, and high quality bed linens. The bathroom was also spacious and equipped with very nice amenities. The staff was the cherry on top, incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel welcome and that no request was out of reach.

We slept with the window open because the air was fresh and the atmosphere was very close to nature, but we were invaded by mosquitoes. A mosquito net at the doors would make a difference.

The vibe. Very laid back and cool. The front of house staff were amazing. Polite, friendly and more than happy to help.

The bar staff. Terrible. We went to the bar for a drink and after waiting for 15 minutes a woman appears and takes our order. We jokingly told her we’d keep her busy and she informed us she had “other stuff to do”.. Over the next hour she checked on us twice. We watched her eat her dinner and go out for a smoke. We felt completely ignored.

The whole stay was amazing, from the warm friendly greeting on arrival to our departure. One night was not long enough. The hotel was spotless, from reception through to the very comfortable room. We had a wonderful meal in the evening, made even better by the lights outside. The food and service was excellent. Breakfast did not disappoint, again met by lovely staff, a great selection of nice fresh food. The hotel was easy to find and had good parking. Highly recommended and will certainly be back for a longer stay.
