Manuella is a wonderful host. She welcomed us with a bottle of beer each, sitting in the shade in the garden. Our room was spacious and cool, and we had a very good night's sleep. We had a fantastic dinner made with local produce and washed down with local wine. We even had some of Manuellas home made Sloe Gin. Delicious altogether. Breakfast was another wonderful meal, complete with freshly made scrambled eggs. This was a wonderful stay in an old Italian home as opposed to being in a modern commercial hotel. Very special! Nothing at all

We had such a memorable stay at this welcoming B&B. The owner/hostess, Manuela, was extremely warm and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was special. We enjoyed a home-cooked meal with many items from her own farm/garden. It was delicious, and the setting was perfect. She set up an outside dining table for us, and it was exquisitely simple and lovely. Lastly, she drove us 20km the next morning to assist with some logistics since the taxi wasn't available. Thank you so much for everything!

The location was convenient, about 600 meters off the Via Francigena. Manuela cooked us a nice dinner. She was kind to accommodate my meatless requirement. Her chocolate cake was delicious and she fixed my husband scrambled eeggs for breakfast. We had our own bathroom downstairs. The view from our bedroom window was beautiful.

An excellent place to stay while hiking along the Via Francigena. The facilities and the location are excellent and the hostess was extremely welcoming and helpful. We spent a wonderful two nights here. The food was delicious and plentiful and we enjoyed the company of other hikers who were also staying here. Highly recommended!

This is a home away from home for pilgrims on the Via Francigena. Nice bed, good shower, excellent breakfast, washing machine, optional meal freshly made by the loving host.

Make sure you see Fornovo before you check in, because once in you're not going out anymore!

What a lovely place to stay. Manuela is a brilliant host. One of our party was celiac and she did her best to accommodate his dietary requirements with little notice. The house was in a quiet area close to the Via Francigena.

Own ablutions but down a couple of flights of stairs from room.

Lovely house in country location nog that far off the Via Francigena (VF) route. It is run by superb host who is also a splendid cook. Got to use the washing machine which is invaluable on the VF

Nothing to dislike

Loved the beauty, peace, host, breakfast would definitely return again.

It would have been nice to have a layer of something added to the mattress, foam, memory foam, pillow top. The bed a so hard we both struggled to sleep and woke with sore backs.

Manuela is a delightful host; if you are asked if you want dinner don’t let that opportunity pass, we had the most beautiful home cooked meal, and nothing is too much effort for her. The place is also nice and quiet, just between two villages up on a hill, so we got some quality sleep too.

Great stay with great facilities and a warm host. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and it’s a very relaxed atmosphere.

Wifi was not great and it’s a steep climb if you’ve had a big days walk.
