There is so much to love, the view, the sunsets right off your own balcony with big tables for taking your meals which they lovingly serve right there if you wish, the restaurant's delicious food, and free deluxe breakfast every morning, the fall away endless pool looking over the ocean, the ultra attentive staff, the great conversation with the owner "Alex." This was a dream vacation!!! Literally, for a fraction of other vacations, and the list just goes on and on.

Nothing, this was perfection, unless you want to stay in your room and watch tv. Because there are no tvs. They have wifi, so you can watch on your devices, but that's up to you.

Absolutely everything about it was appealing…Very quiet and peaceful…Relaxing…Alex and his staff were wonderful…Breakfast every morning was delicious and their lunch and dinner menu was also very delightful, tasty food…the pool was refreshing and the view of the ocean was lovely…there’s a little stray cat, that we took care of during our stay there, we named her Maya…She was unbelievably friendly and affectionate towards us and she claimed us as her own…it was a beautiful time there at the Surigao Dream Beach Resort and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a peaceful and relaxing time in a beautiful place

We liked everything!

The most beautiful sunset we have seen. The staff were amazing and helped us for anything we wanted. Alex and Emily were the best hosts we’ve had and made us feel at home and relaxed to enjoy the beautiful areas. They picked us up for the airport, dropped us off at the ferry after our stay and also organised and facilitated our tour to the Day Asan floating village and mangroves. The tour was really good with some of the clearest water and corals that we have seen on our trip, riding on the surf board on the back of the boat was a highlight. Alex even took us out on his speedboat for the tour of the coastline complimentary. The food was some of the best in the Philippines that we’ve tried and has a wide variety of choices at a good price. We loved having breakfast and dinner on our private balcony right next to the sea as well as the pool to ourselves in the evening. The paddleboard was also free to use. The Finnish sauna was also a great experience to try at sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the AC and fan was working well. One highlight is having a water fountain directly in the room so you never run out of drinking water. Overall it was one of the best stays in the Philippines and we hope to come back one day.

Oh the vacation that we very much needed happened thanks to Alex and his beautiful resort. The place is so peaceful and magical, the food is amazing and the rooms are so nice and welcoming. The rooms are located just a few steps from the beach, and the experience of waking up with the sounds of the waves and rainbows was to die for. Wish we had more days. We went in the low season apparently and the vibe was so enchanting and peaceful, not to mention the sauna and the infinity pool. Alex is the most fun loving man we have met in the Philippines with beautiful energy that takes care of his guests as though they were hie close friends. I dream of coming back there again.

Nothing. Everything was beautiful, delicious and super clean.

Alex and the team were super friendly and tried to make our stay as perfect as possible! The breakfast was nice! Our room was super comfy and the view and location was "dreamy". Since the weather was rainy, we spend one and a half day at the resort but we could keep us busy with the pool, the sauna, walks at the beach and the yummy food that we could order at the resto. The highlight: A tour with Alex to day-asan. Best decision ever and everything was wonderfully planned. We just enjoyed our stay to the fullest ☺️

The staff, pool, sauna and watching the sunset with the beach just there was great. Alex, Emily and their team were so helpful and friendly during our stay. Having the natural spring pool meant that we didn’t have the smell of chlorine on us and my daughter and travelling companion really enjoyed relaxing and swimming in their pool. The Finnish sauna was an unexpected surprise… (who thinks to have a Sauna in Philippines hot weather?) but rest assured using the sauna in the evening was just the icing on the cake. If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle type of place to stay this is the place to go.

The rooms could do with a little updating regarding pillows, towels and the cracks on the doors, but I’m sure Alex is working on this.

Beautiful spot to relax. The villas are amazing and each have air conditioning. Although there aren't many corals left after the typhoon, the fish are still among the rocks for you to see while you snorkel in front of the resort. The food is wonderful as well. The pool and sauna are a great bonus and well maintained. The excursions Alex set up are great. We were able to swim with a whale shark in the wild and I highly recommend the Day-Asan tour. Great spot to see and also probably one of the best coral reefs I've snorkeled in the Philippines. And I've done many (including apo island).

Breakfast was good. Aleksi, the owner bought even my favorite Jam, what I like usually in my homemade breakfast. The pool was great with a separation from the children's pool to the adult area. The view to the sea was great and unblocked by any obstacles. The houses for the customers were spacious and high. There was an additional ceiling fan to the air con. The bathroom was spacious and clean, The owner, his wife and he staff were very helpful.

The beach was not sandy like the most beaches in the Surigao Area, mostly consisting of pebbles and rocks. The way from the house to the beach was quite far. It needs sandals or slippers.

We stayed for two nights with the family, and the experience was amazing. The rooms were comfortable, well set up and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The owner is there daily and makes the place warm and welcoming. It's a hidden gem just far enough off the beaten track to be easily reached, but far enough away from it all that it's peaceful and relaxing. And to top it all off, the sunsets are amazing here. Take the time and enjoy them while sitting on your balcony looking out over the sea. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing idyllic experience.

Nice place with a great infinity pool and sauna, beautyful sunsets, 24/7 working pool, bar. Alex, the owner, is a great guy, who helped us a with travel tips and logistics a lot. He is always at the place, always with a big smile and ready to help, answer your question or just chat. Sauna was a big surprise for us. it’s looks kinda strange to go to the sauna in Philippines where is always hot, but you will be surprised how pleasant it is after an active day exploring surroundins. Hope one day we will come back to Surigao Dream!
