Clean facilities, very friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable bed and very central.

There seemed to be a lot of noise in the hallway during the early hours, it sounded like a few people walking up and down the halls, laughter, joking etc. Normally these things don’t bother me but the doors were not soundproof at all so the noise did wake me and made it difficult for me to continue sleeping.

I was skeptical to book this place at first because of the mixed reviews on Google, but I still went ahead cause I was checking in so late and I couldn’t really find a lot of options in surigao city. Checked in at 12 midnight and the receptionist was lovely. He was friendly and welcoming. The reception area smells so good too and then when I arrived in my room, everything was clean and everything was working except the wifi but since I have LTE, it wasn’t really an issue for me. I think the only downside that I wanna point out is the toilet doesn’t have a bidet. I wanted also to extend and they didn’t give me any problems with that. It was so easy to talk to the staff and yeah, the security and the cleaning staff were super friendly as well. bonus points, theres a really good café nearby called café ethereal. highly recommend this place if youre transiting through Surigao as its walking distance from the port. They have Smart TVs too!

No Bidet and wifi wasnt working.

I really appreciate the annex hotel tavern, because they typically have vacancies when The tavern hotel across the street is nearly always sold out. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. For the price it is really an incredible deal.

The only thing I did not like is that the particular room that I had last time did not have a window to the outside, but I understand because I believe it was adjacent to another building. However I have stayed there previously and enjoyed a view of the outside through a functional window.

I wish the Internet would work in the rooms better! That's been my biggest complaint the many times I have stayed there. I really appreciate that you have put down the adhesive grip tape on the tiles next to the door! I was the one who fell and broke my leg. One suggestion, please put that same tape inside the door as well to ensure we can reach the rug more safely. I will continue to use the Tavern.

Staff are friendly and easy to talk to. The bedroom is good size and it’s clean

The hallway is hot and there’s is no aircon so when you are walking to and from downstairs and upstairs you are sweating. The housekeeping is short of hand we seem to always ask when is my room to be clean. I only had my room make up every two days.

The Hotel Tavern Annex is located across the street from the Hotel Tavern - so it does not have the ocean view. But - it is almost half the price and everything works great - hot shower - good wifi - good aircon - so this place is a great value. Also has great access to all the stuff you want to get to in Surigao City including the waterfront, port, eateries and public market.

No breakfast included, but there are a lot of choices around the area. The staff are friendly and helpful.

There were no options/flyers displayed at the reception of what to do in Surigao... I suggest you have options of activities to do and/or places to go when visiting Surigao... especially so your hotel is located near the port.

The location is unbeatable, close to everything and within walking distance to great restaurants. The convenience store next door was handy for snacks. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, making my stay enjoyable and well worth the price. I would definitely return

The hot shower is not working properly.

I love the Annex Hotel Tavern because it is in the heart of the city. Everything is near. Even if you didn't rent a car, you can easily get a tricycle and ask the driver to take you where you want to go within the city.Isn't that great!

There's nothing that I don't like but it wouldn't hurt if they could install bidets in their toilets.
