An exceptional location if you intend to explore the Monts de Lion area, Lyon and other places of interest north of Lyon. Great home base for car, (mountain) bicycle and foot trips. A true oasis of peace and silence, though not far away from the city, various villages, a large variety of shops and the highway. The villa attracts nature and peace lovers, yoga practitioners young families and aged people. The swimming pool, though not large, is the centerpiece of the forest surrounded buildings. The price quality match is excellent.

Mr. Moissonier started the restoration of this ancient farm in 2007. He himself is a building contractor that salvages and utilizes ancient building materials, like roof logs and stone tiles, in order to preserve the original historical attire of his projects. However, some of his choices concerning the sleeping accommodations and communal areas do not conform with modern general expectations. If on one hand that preserves a certain country atmosphere typical of postwar France, on the other it is frankly not up to today's comfort standards. The rooms are not soundproof and guarantee no privacy at all. Keep that in mind, this is not a good choice for a romantic getaway! The communal bathroom cannot be described other than very basic though functional, there is however a baby diaper change table. Very tall and bulky people, stay away! Though the communal kitchen is intended for coffee and breakfast, it would be a welcome addition to include the possibility of some real cooking, a larger fridge and working surfaces + utensils. By the way, you are supposed to bring your own bed linens. The ones you can rent for an honest surcharge are a collection of mismatched old bedsheets, though they are fresh from the washing machine and charming in a certain nostalgic way ;-).
