Read it if you're not Chinese 👇 Perfection location. It's just right next to the park entrance. You can buy Zhangjiajie Park tickets (valid for 4 days) and go in and out every day. The hostel owner will help you buy the tickets. If you travel to Zhangjiajie or Zhangjiajie West train station there are buses that'll take you to Wulingyuan. They start running at around 7:30. Don't get scammed by expensive taxi drivers. Then it's a short walk to the hostel from the Wulingyuan bus station. You can contact the owner of the hostel beforehand and he'll let you know how to get to the hostel. Download WeChat so that you can communicate easily without using VPN. Also, download Amap (works with WeChat location and doesn't need VPN to run). The hostel owner speaks good English, but Chinese definitely makes things easier here. Hope this helps my fellow travellers from outside of China.

– The staff were extremely helpful and professional. Ralph and Lia both spoke fluent English and provided detailed, useful information to help us reach our sightseeing destinations in the most cost-efficient way. – The room was clean, with a warm and authentic wooden traditional design that added to the local charm. – Although the hotel does not have an elevator, the staff kindly helped us carry our luggage up and down — thank you so much! – The location was excellent, just a short walking distance to the entrance of Zhangjiajie National Park (Wulingyuan Gate). – The hotel provides a shuttle pick-up and drop-off service to/from the airport or train station, which made our arrival and departure very convenient. – There are many restaurants, food stalls, and a night market within easy walking distance from the hotel.

There was a small patch of mold in the corner of the bathroom floor. It wasn't a major issue, but could be improved with more regular deep cleaning.

Perfect location, ridiculously close to the Zhiangjiaje park entrance. Pharmacies and food stalls very near. Ralph was super helpful and explained everything in detail, from how to get to Tianmen mountain, to arranging transportation. The room was big, with everything you may need: comfy beds, electric kettle and complementary bottles of water. A BIG PLUS for me: the noise cancelling windows. The bathroom was spotless and toiletries were provided. Keep in mind it is common for showers here not to have curtains or separate spaces. Water pressure and temperature was perfect - excellent after a 12-hour-walking day. I would absolutely come back to this hotel. Amazing.

Everything was perfect!

The location is amazing an easy walk to the national park and outside Zhangjiajie so quiet but still lots of resteraunts around. The staff were super helpful and friendly each day helping us plan where we should go. They also helped us with the buses on arrival. On the first day they walked us to a local resteraunt which was the best food we ate in china, really good value too and the nicest people we ate there multiple times. We also got upgraded for free on arrival as there were empty rooms and had a great view from our room.

We had a perfect stay at Destination Youth Hostel. They were super accommodating, helping us plan our time in the national park and arranging new years activities for us. The hostels location is conveniently right next to the main entrance of the park. We were able to walk 5 mins to get to anything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and a lovely place to rest and relax. Ralph was an above and beyond host, driving us to a new year’s celebration, always willing to help us, and even mailed a scarf that we left behind back to us. Highly recommend staying here!!

The hotel is in a very good location, and it only takes 6 minutes to walk to the park. Ralph speaks fluent English. He has been a tour guide for 10 years. He recommended a very reasonable tour route for us and helped me book discounted tickets for scenic spots. Ralph is very enthusiastic and professional. He can help you solve all travel problems. This is the hotel with the best service I have ever stayed in during my travels in China. The coffee in the hotel is only 10 yuan a cup, which is great. I will recommend friends to stay here

A very good hotel, the location is very good, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the park entrance, the owner is omnipotent and can do anything for you, he used to be a tour guide for 10 years, he speaks very good English, helped us book tickets for the scenic area, recommended a very good tourist route for us, ralph is so professional, he and the staff are warm and hospitable, recommended delicious restaurants for us, provided us with laundry service, this is a hotel with great value for money, highly recommended to friends in need, I think I will come again.

It is located a 5-minute walk from the entrance to the Park. A 10-minute walk from the bus station. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops nearby. A cozy room with everything you need. The brilliant of hotel is Ralph! He is the best in Wulingyuan and Zhanggjiajie! His English is perfect (which is almost not found anywhere else in today's China). We booked all our trip tickets with discounts, Ralph told us everything in detail, put them on the shelves, and painted all the routes. He helped us solve many other issues. Thank you very much!

The hotel is clean and nice, great value for money. Bed was comfortable and the room was good size. Super close to the national park so you can just walk there by foot. The man in the reception is very helpful and will be able to tell you all about hiking trails both in the park as well as Tianmen Mountain. He speaks fantastic English so he will be able to assist you with whatever you need. He will also be able to book you in for entry tickets, just ask at the reception. :)

I liked everything - the only thing is that it is quite far from the airport but didi wasn't that expensive. :)

Very close to the main entrance to national park, around 7 to 8 minutes walking which make it very convenient. At night you have so many options for dinner as very close they set up a night market and many restaurants around. Ralph was very helpful, arranged for me transportation from airport and the return to railway station, which make it very comfortable. He also gave me a lot information about the park and bought for me the tickets without any extra cost. And he speaks a very good English! Rooms are clean and perfect to visit the park.
