The hotel was situated in the most beautiful location and was immaculate. The staff were so friendly and welcoming the reception staff were so helpful and the pool staff were so attentive. Breakfast was very nice and the restaurant staff were lovely and remembered our coffee choice each morning. The hotel provided a shuttle service to and from the town and the drivers were so nice and collected us whenever we needed to be picked up.

Nothing it was perfect

The view from the hotel is stunning and the grounds are beautiful. The pool, rooms and restaurants all are directly on the water and a staircase directly into the sea was a unique experience.

While the food at lunch was delicious, we found the food at breakfast to be average at best, with our omelets actually cooked poorly. The coffee was also mediocre. We looked forward to using the fitness center during our stay, but it was outside, which is illogical in a hot and humid climate. The view and sounds of the sea while exercising in theory is lovely, but a liability for exercising in the heat.

First impressions could have been better - the reception team we’ren’t overly helpful or welcoming (you expect better from a five star hotel), however the team around the pool and bar, in contrast were brilliant. Missing some of the smaller touches that make a stay in a hotel like this special - welcome drink, provision of water around the hotel, an iron in your room etc. The menu changes at night and it was a shame that the hotel didn’t cater for a more relaxed evening meal - pizzas, salads etc.

Located right in front of the beach, this hotel allows for a private and beautiful seaside experience. We could enjoy the sea directly and also comfortably use the swimming pool, which was very well-maintained. The sound of the ocean from our room was absolutely fantastic. After being disappointed with breakfasts at other Italian hotels, the breakfast here was astonishingly good, providing a delicious start to our day. The staff were all friendly, and even those who did not speak English well did their best to help us, which was very touching and helpful to us. A particularly memorable moment was when we first entered our room and found a chilled bottle of sparkling wine, prepared in recognition of our honeymoon. We made such wonderful memories at this place and frequently share stories and photos of our Italian honeymoon with friends. Everything was perfect, and it was an incredibly satisfying experience.

If I had to point out a downside, it would be the parking area. We needed assistance from the hotel staff to park and retrieve our car. However, the hotel operates its own shuttle service, which made getting around easy and more convenient than driving ourselves. Given the parking situation of town, using the shuttle was actually more comfortable and easy.

Capo La Gala has a very beautiful view in general with lots of spacious areas to chill and relax. Our experience at Maxi restaurant was very lovely and hotel has a very good selection of breakfast buffet which is usually hard to find in Italy. Amazing staff in every respect making sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

If you are used to have a sandy beach experience, you might not like the rocky beach and swimming in here. But you can still enjoy the infinity pool + private pool in our room was a huge plus and helped us to relax more in private.

This hotel is fantastic, and with all the amenities we needed. Wonderful view from the room, everything is pristine and well curated, the staff is extremely kind and helpful. All the conditions are combined for guests to fully relax. When we arrived we were welcomed in the main terrace next to the lobby, where we enjoyed a welcome drink whilst the staff was taking care of the car and the luggage. Then we were shown the facilities and the room (the view is much better then in the pictures). The staff is also great - there was always someone available wherever we were (pool, restaurant, bar, lobby, gym, spa...). The hotel is close to Vico Equense, a small town with very nice places to go out in the evening, and a few beautiful view points. Surprisingly you are not very far from Amalfi neither, we managed to do a half day trip and it is worth the trouble.

We came here for a short after our wedding having read previous reviews of the hotel. The property was beautiful, located away from the center of Sorrento to give some peace but close enough to public transport to get in and out. The facilities were brilliant and the staff made it all the better. We felt completely at home by day 2 and the staff regularly go out of their way to ensure your stay is special

The welcome reception was very nice & relaxed atmosphere with a glass of prosecco on arrival. Our room was excellent with a wonderful sea view, nice comfortable sun loungers on the terrace. Clean towels were provided twice a day and the room was kept spotless. The breakfast and dinner were excellent with plenty of choice.

The only criticism would be the plastic chairs at breakfast & dinner.

I follow this hotel on Instagram and really the pictures do not do it justice. The location is superb. Being right on the sea, falling asleep to the sound of the waves was really magical and I have never slept so well. The staff were friendly and really looked after us too.

This was a fabulous hotel, a little on the pricey side but definitely worth every penny and I would certainly stay here again.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. The staff were amazing, the location is something else, the breakfasts were incredible, pool and spa are lovely, really handy hotel shuttle service into town. Will definitely be back here in the future
