Absolutely beautiful building and fabulous location built into side of the hillside. Great views over town and lovely terraces for drinks or food. Pool and spa area were a pleasant amenity. Staff all perfectly friendly and helpful.

Rooms were a bit more "standard" than expected, given the historic buildings and setting. Fake flowers not the best! Clean and nice, but I feel like they could benefit from a little step up in quality, to really make this a luxury five star stay. Also the chairs in the pool area were a bit dingy, and no towels offered in spa area, so people left dripping into the elevators. Consider providing towels (or providing separate towels for spa use in hotel rooms). Minor complaints / suggestions.

The hotel is located in the superior location close to everything in the Liege center. The historic castle was converted into a high class modern hotel with an outstanding restaurant, spa, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness center. It is a resort in the city center, which is not typically available in most major cities in Europe.

We stayed in the two-room suit, so we can have some privacy from our 10-year old son. The bedroom that was connected to the living room had two side tables on both sides of the bed, but nothing else. No hooks, no chairs - nothing to put your clothes on as you get into the bed. Very strange! The other thing that struck me was the quality of the tea and coffee. For the hotel that is rated between 4 and 5 stars, it was surprising to find cheap Lipton tea bags and low end coffee capsules. I tried them both and stayed away from these hot beverages for the rest of my stay.

The room was large with a nice view of the garden, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The hotel is in a very good shape and is kept clean. Breakfast was plentiful and afforded a nice view of Liege. We parked our car in the private parking opposite the hotel entrance at 10 euros a day. We used the spa and massage facilities and were very happy with the services provided.

The room cleaning service could improve. We were only given one set of towels each on our first day. Seeing as the hotel includes a spa, it would have been useful to receive at least an extra towel per person for the pool/sauna. We found a bathrobe hanging in the closet that had obviously been used by a previous guest and one of the clean bathrobes was missing a girdle. Some of the showers in the spa were flooded due to drainage problems.

we really didn't expect something like this when we booked. I booked super early so had a great rate for our 10 day stay. we arrived in a beautiful neighbourhood a bit away from the center but walking distance which was perfect. The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of premises, staff and space. The beautiful entrance with the architecture, the wine cellar, the windows and the terraces were beautiful and we were happy to spend time in the restaurant and having drinks on the terraces. The staff was great and super welcoming. The room (2 communicating rooms) was amazing, we were there for 10 days so needed the space and it was perfect. We used the spa a few times as well as the gym classes and we were very happy to have this after a long day walk in the city. Overall, positively surprised and food at restaurant is great too!

nothing really! everything was perfect. parking was a bit of an issue as the one across the street is a bit small and at night would get full but overall we found solutions and the staff was very helpful.

Restaurant was fantastic, breakfast was decent, rooms were spacious and the view was great. The facilities were amazing, especially the spa — 3 different saunas and a steam room being the highlight. Great selection of local beer. This hotel was a highlight of our trip, and I'll definitely be staying here again when I come back to visit Liege.

As good as the restaurant was, it struggled to manage itself during peak times, resulting in ludicrous waiting times.

Great room condition comes with exceptionally clean bath tub. Eye popping quality of breakfast you can experience in the center of the beautiful city and hotel.

Bad experience at the restaurant. Waited an hour to get the food my company ordered but the lady who was responsible for our table kept told us we had to wait. We asked the other lady about the progress and turned out the order did not go in. I would just skip having dinner here and have breakfast only next time.

Beautiful (but small) spa, big comfortable room, nice breakfast. Overall a nice stay but in my opinion a bit overpriced.

Disappointed by few things: - reception not so friendly - several trays with food left for more than 24 hours outside rooms. Disgusting!! - mice in the terrace - no possibility to login to Netflix or any other app. Unusual for a 4 stars hotel... - charged 24 euros for 2 bottles of water delivered to room....

Spacious room good restaurant

Reception did not mention that we needed to take towels from our room with us if we wanted to visit the swimming pool Swimming pool is a separate business from the hotel and they do not supply hotel guests with towels. Their reception lady was rude and disinterested. Access to swimming pool very unclear and complicated with different elevator setups. Restaurant staff do not speak English except one, the head host.

Very friendly and helpful personnel. Hotel is located on the hill therefore reception is on the top floor and other floors are located down the hill, very unusual and interesting set up. Beautiful historical building. Generous and varied breakfast. Great location next to the station and to the city center. Spacious rooms. Ice dispensers on each floor. Night shop around the corner in walking distance for the late arrivals. Nice SPA area with a swimming pool and sauna. Nice huge old castle just a minute away - must visit place. Great restaurant areas with fine cuisine. Good reception bar. Terrace.

I would fix a bit SPA area and distribute towels and sleepers. Steam bath requires some sanitary actions and shower next to it was broken. Water dispenser or a jar with a lemon water would not be superfluous in the SPA area. Big tea mags are always appreciated by the guests instead of small coffee caps, both at the breakfast and in the rooms.

The Hotel is wonderfully appointed with a lovely terrace overlooking the city. It's about 350m from the train station. we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at EUR21 pp, and we also loved the cocktails on the terrace. Large rooms, clean bathrooms. Plenty of space.

Ther service of the waitering staff on the terrace was a bit slow, and the pillows are a bit small. Perhaps consider offering guests additional pillows.
