The shuttle but back and forth from the NORTH side of the maisaka train station was convenient. This property is in a rather remote area so without a car you would need to take advantage of the city bus or taxi services. Bus #20 goes to a huge Aeon shopping mall. The Unagi Pie factory you would need to take a taxi but it is WORTH IT! Check their website to make sure they are open for tours. Google maps does a pretty good job of marking bus stops. The onsen is ok.

Remote area, without a car it's more of a challenge to sight see.

The free shuttle bus to Maisaka station was good as you were able to get Hamamatsu in ten minutes. Complimentary drinks and snacks in the lounge from 3pm to 6pm and then again at 9pm was a bonus.The room was spacious and very clean. We only had breakfast there and it was exceptional. The staff were always friendly and tried to help where they could.

We were there in October and it was quite warm. The pool was closed so there wasn't a great deal to do around the hotel.

The Breakfastbuffet was awesome,lots of foods to choose from,like the mini caramel muffin most.The staff were kind& friendly.There are 7 diff.onsen types to choose from & have different free drinks after you take your onsen. We have our room upgraded & was very thankful to the hotel management when I requested an additional bed in our room (for an unexpected stay of my son that day )and they did granted my request ,The other day I paid for an additional stay. I was out of my cellphone battery & the front staff lent me a battery charger& was really grateful for her action.

Waited too long for our breakfast on the 2 nd flr.but it was worth waiting for the foods were nice & understand that on that day of Saturday ,there were many guests ,while waiting on my turn ,me& my husband went outside to take a short walk& watch the beautiful “SAKURA”.

I recently stayed at the Grand Mercure and had a fantastic experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the variety of food offered at the restaurant was impressive, with both Asian and Western options available. The donuts were a particular highlight! The restaurant also features a separate room to accommodate larger crowds, which is a thoughtful touch. Additionally, the onsen was excellent for relaxation, and the lounge area was a great place to unwind.

We enjoyed our stay here.However, on the busy day of our stay, the elevator was often crowded, causing us to use the stairs due to long wait times. This issue was likely due to the high occupancy and not a regular problem.

It's a 10 - 25 min taxi ride to local attractions and restaurants, no direct bus service. Ideally, you need a car

Our room was quiet, spacious, very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of Lake Hamana. We enjoyed delicious buffet meals. The garden of tropical plants and palm trees at the hot spring was so pleasant.

We really like the breakfast buffet, dinner buffet and unlimited drinks and snacks at the lounge, afternoon and evening. onsen also is fantastic, the staff is very kind.shuttle bus also is a great help.I will bring my family and friends in my future trips.
