Great location by the sea with a view to Bali. Nice base if you want to go hiking Ijen. The room is comfortable, with a nice shower too.

Food at the restaurant is quite average. Not bad but nothing amazing either. I’m guessing there aren’t a lot of events spaces in Banyuwangi, since there was a group event at the restaurant everyday. Microphones and music quite loud. Fair enough that the events never finished late (never past 9pm anyway) but it was quite disruptive when we wanted to relax at the pool and there was loud speeches/music going on at the restaurant for hours and hours in the afternoon/evening. Fortunately we were staying in a room not too close to the restaurant, because If I was staying in one of the rooms near the restaurant, I would be fuming. Maybe the hotel could be more considerate to other guests when managing the volume of the events going on in the restaurant.

I booked a villa or cottage room at Ketapang Indah Hotel in Banyuwangi. The staff service was excellent. My request for adjacent rooms was fulfilled, and they even provided us with rooms that had a connecting door. The hotel’s location is also convenient, being close to the harbor and not too far from the city center, making it easy to find food. What I loved most was the pool with its view towards Bali Island, especially during the late afternoon as evening approaches. The atmosphere is incredibly beautiful. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom, which is somewhat outdoor, added a unique touch to my stay.

What I didn't like was the crowd at the check-in counter upon my arrival, which might have been due to a shortage of staff. I had to carry my suitcase to the villa myself. The pathway to the villa is designed to look natural, made from uneven textured concrete. This could cause the wheels of my suitcase to wear out or get damaged quickly. However, I understand this is because it's a resort hotel. It might be better if the path to the villa had a smoother surface to prevent damage to suitcase wheels.

We never thought the hotel would be so serene and grand. Lush garden and coconut trees, beautiful beach and mountain view restaurant, can see sunrise and bali island across the beach. The beach is right at the back of the hotel. Pictures don't do it justice. We did upgrade to superior room though. The room has big glass windoes taking up the entire wall into a balcony. Definitely value for money :)

Almost nothing, but if I were to really nitpick, the AC in the room could use an upgrade :)

Wow. One of our favorite places during our 3 week holiday in Indonesia. The staff was super helpful and always there if you needed help (especially Tegar), the gardens look absolutely beautiful and the room itself is pretty good for the price. Also the Restaurant had an AMAZING choice of breakfast dishes and is a romantic place to have a dinner with really good food. Overall we enjoyed our time and would always come back 🙏

The rooms could be a bit cleaner.

The beautiful gardens overlooking the Java Strait. Bed was very comfortable. Room temperature was comfortable. Tasty food at reasonable prices. Breakfast showcasing local foods. The view from the restaurant was lovely, especially at night. The swimming pool was a good size. The children's pool and play area looked good, with sunlounges for parents to use while the children played, separate to the adult pool.

No fridge in room. Soundproofing , noises coming from the guests returning to their rooms. A second chair in the room would be good The price of drinks was high, even soft drinks.

Ketapang Indah Hotel is a lovely hotel beautifully situated on the Straits . The views across to Bali are spectacular. Our room was very well appointed with a great bed an excellent bathroom, tea /coffee facilities, television etc. The hotel is set in extensive gardens which created a lovely atmosphere for their spectacular swimming pool and restaurant. We had many meals in the restaurant which were excellent and well priced. The staff throughout the hotel were helpful and friendly. The hotel manager Mr Lucky arranged several day trips for us. We enjoyed travelling around Banguwangi exploring the envitons of the nearby volcano, visiting a coffee plantation, attending a wonderful traditional performance as well as enjoying a drink at the Yacht Club. Our driver Sahib was very enthusiastic and accommodating. These excursions were a highlight of our stay.

Finding drivers and taxis is difficult. Having an app such Grab is very helpful as many people do not speak English.

Beautiful view and location just close to the harbour you can see bali island and gilimanuk harbour the atmosphere are so incredible and the breakfast so many choices with traditional banyuwangi food and western my mother in law loved this place so much

The price of the cocktail Litle bit to pricey and better sometimes hire traditional dancers banyuwangi to make it more vibe

An excellent hotel complex. Set in beautifully maintained gardens within its own security compound. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, also very good shower. The breakfast selection was outstanding as was the evening Iftar buffet. The staff in the hotel were extremely welcoming and always attentive and helpful. It was a pleasure staying there and we'd have no hesitation whatsoever in booking again. Thank you.

We travelled with a newborn baby and this hotel could accommodate us well. We got a cot and stroller access everywhere. All staff extremely kind and helpful, beautiful garden, pool and views, restaurant was convenient, room good. Also tried the massage and it was great.

Sometimes there is smell of fish feed in the air, in general seeing the industry around. But hotel area is beautiful nonetheless.

One of the best places I have stayed . It was my birthday and also engaged day when we stayed there and I couldn’t be more happy with everything this amazing hotel has. My partner organise a surprise balloons and a cake and the hotel did the best job at making it all pretty. Next day for breakfast I had the staff coming to my table with another cake singing happy birthday. I’m so happy that we chose to stay here , thank you so much to everyone for helping making my day to be unforgettable. I will 100% come back.
