The room was really clean and the shower was roomy. Bed was so comfortable. Had a fridge which is a nice bonus on a road trip with perishable items. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great....it had all the things. The staff at the front desk were sincerely friendly and helpful.

I made a reservation at the restaurant for Aug 28 but was told on arrival it was closed. I thought it would be courteous to let me know since there was only one other restaurant open in town that day. (On the other hand, we discovered Stúkuhúsið cafe, which is much more than a cafe and full of charming old character....had the best oven-baked pistachio crusted cod dinner with a nice glass of white wine there.)

Great location to explore the southern part of the Westfjords. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room had a great view of a waterfall. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection for a great start to the day. Had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, as there aren’t too many other options around. Food was super delicious.

The shower curtain clings to you while taking a shower. Not very pleasant.

Easy to find and right opposite the bay. Lots of parking. Good breakfast. Had a meal one night which was great and nice waiters. Good welcome at reception. A bakery just around the corner which sold rolls and provisions and pieces of pizza too. Most people visited the bird cliffs I expect judging from all the dusty cars. Worth the drive there and last day we visited the famous inland waterfalls at Dynjandi………which were amazing and loos there. Only signposted 2hen nearly there but you get an awesome view of interior and #nowline. Really good.

No tea provided in room.

Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Martin (server in restaurant) was especially good and we really enjoyed talking to him. Everything was clean and modern.

Price was extraordinarily high even for Iceland, and especially given there was nothing "luxe" about the room or facilities. A similar room at a similar hotel in downtown Isafjordur, where we stayed next on our trip in Westfjords, was slightly more than HALF the price of Fosshotel Westfjords!

Location and beds are comfortable! Very clean and efficient.

Bedside charging points located UNDER the desks and you have to move the small bedside desks to access them. Breakfast not restocked quick enough, leaving empty containers. Coffee machine was broken. Scrambled egg is overcooked (?) to the point it has a hard “shell” and tasted almost like a cake? Quality of breakfast isn’t up to par to other Foss Hotel we went to (near Diamond Beach) which was excellent.

The check in receptionist worked hard to change my room to a fjord view. I have learnt on my trip around Iceland that the larger hotel chains prioritise the group bookings to have the best rooms. I found the reception staff all to be really helpful and accommodating.

At arrival I was advised I would not get a room with a fjord view as it seems the big hotel chains keep these rooms unfairly for group bookings.

The bed was comfortable and the room was well-heated. The front desk service was also helpful and informative. The restaurant had tasty food, and really friendly service. Both of our servers/bartenders were genuinely nice and interesting to talk with, especially Walter, who we chatted with until closing time one of the nights we stayed here. Lastly, it is easy to find since it's 2nd or 3rd building you see as you drive into town; the location is nice with a beautiful view of the Patreks fjord.

The shower is small (which isn't unusual for Europe), but it had an annoying curtain that actually got in the way of bathing, rather than a glass door. Just a small annoyance, though.

The room was welcoming and large and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable. We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet had ample choices and were delicious. The dinner was exceptional. Both meals were very affordable.

Everything was very pleasing.

Very helpful gentleman at the check-in desk. Complimentary coffee at breakfast was delicious.

The two of us wanted to get dinner at the restaurant but we were turned away because a group was arriving shortly and the kitchen staff couldn't handle 2 more people. Later we found out the group was 11 people. That was an odd experience.

The room was super clean and comfortable. My room and my friends' rooms were close together. Two of my friends' room even had ocean view and my room was mountain view. Very convenience location. The breakfast was excellent with quite a few choices. I will love to come back to this hotel if I go to Iceland Westfjord again.

If I had the ocean room as my friends, it was super!
