They were very friendly and said to park my motorbike in the secure underground car park in the hotel, they arranged for me to use a washing machine and dryer so I had enough clean clothes for the journey back home. The buffet breakfast and evening meal that were included in the price were great and a big selection. Stayed 2 days and would be the first place I would go if I went back. I was taking the coast road south and there were 5 ferries and they helped me with the timings to make the journey easier.

There is nothing I can find fault with, best hotel I have stayed in for a long time.

Rooms were comfortable and the staff was very professional and helpful regarding any questions we had.

Dining Room was very crowded during dinner and breakfast service, although we realize that we were at the height of the summer travel season. I also had to book two rooms as they couldn’t accommodate three adults in separate beds in a single room (as far as I could tell during the booking process).

We had a very pleasant 2-night stay in a tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, 5th floor room with a view over the water to the snow-dusted mountains beyond. The breakfasts and dinners that were included in the price were excellent as was the all-day tea and coffee and the “sweet treats” that were served each afternoon. We also appreciated the helpful information that was provided to us prior to our stay and the friendly, helpful staff.

The “free parking in the street” situation could have been explained a bit better. There is a parking lot opposite the hotel but it has a sign saying you need to pay. This was confusing. In fact, if you let reception know you need a car space when you book in they will give you a ticket to put on your car so that it is free. However, I saw some guests paying at the ticket machine.

This is a fabulous hotel with exceptional service, we had an upgrade to a very large room with sea views. The bed was so comfortable we slept in. Helma offers so many extras such as afternoon tea, all day refreshments and a fabulous dinner included. We loved it and wished we had longer. Thanks

It’s a really nice hotel, with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. There’s a buffet dinner included in the price (as well as breakfast in the morning), a few simple good dishes well cooked, with a lot of vegetables which we highly appreciated.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Check-in was easy, staff very friendly. We reported a problem with our sink, and it was promptly dealt with. The room and hotel facilities were very comfortable. Free parking for our motorcycle. Food was delicious. Beautiful view from the window.

Room equipment level simpler than in "classical" Clarion hotels, esp. No fridge/minibar. Very high price even for non-alcoholic beer (they charge it like alcoholic one, which is unusual in Norway)

Fantastic buffet service with excellent choice in mornings and evening, and afternoon cakes in the day. Willing to help with my food intolerances if I gave the chef details before dinner service. Very helpful staff. Amazing shower, and quiet room. Close to town.

Coffee mugs too small by British standards!! No milk available during the day in the room for tea.

Lovely hotel, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff. The “private parking” is a non-secure parking lot accessible by the public just to be aware. Close to some good restaurants (as hotel restaurant was not interesting).

the staff was wonderful. The man who greeted us at 2 am was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough upon hearing of our health scare (my heart) and traffic delays. then the morning woman at the front desk again just so pleasant. the room had a nice sitting area, a comfy bed, a fabulous shower with lots of pressure and hot water and breakfast was good. Because of our delay, we missed dinner so can’t comment on that.
