Beautiful location by the canyon river. Very picturesque and relaxing. The spa was exceptional and the thermal baths completely relaxing.

The drive from Arequipa! Over 3 hours with 1/2 the drive on terrible roads full of trucks! The other half of the drive was very nice and solitary and actually went up to 16,000 feet!

The suite we had was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the thermal pools and the alpaca farm. The gardens were really beautiful with staff working so hard to keep them looking pristine. Overall a wonderful environment.

The food was really over-priced and poor which was a shame since this is a captive audience and the lodge should showcase better food for visitors. We were also surprised to be summoned to pay our bill before we had even stayed in the lodge - they already had my credit card details from Booking.com so there was no chance of us running away without paying. Also, we had no response for more than 48 hours to our email enquiring about transfers from Arequipa - this didn’t bode well for our stay.

The lodge is very beautiful with amazing scenery of the river and surrounding mountains. The private hot spring is great for 2 people and relaxing. We can see the whole lodge from the tub and balcony. The room was a spacious, comfortable duplex with upstairs bedroom and 2 bathrooms. There isn’t heating except for a wood fireplace in the living room but it was warm enough without using the fireplace. The small alpaca/llama farm in the lodge was cute and fun to see. The exhibition centres on camelids and condors are small but well done. The restaurant also has great food and cocktails.

Only small soap bars provided for shower which seems common practice across Peru. We’re just used to liquid shower gel which is more convenient to use. It was a minor thing.

This hotel was just excellent in everyway. Staff perhaps are the best asset of the hotel. Lovely people, very professional, helpful and very friendly. The hotel is based in a nice part of the Colca Canyon, excellent to go for long, quiet and beautiful walks.

The room (junior suite in my case), view, restaurant service, hot springs and spa were very good. I also enjoyed the interpretation centre (and alpacas). The recommended treks are good for a 2-night stay.

The food was okay and was a bit limited for a 3-night stay, and I felt the front desk service in providing general information on the area and options on how to get to-from the hotel not forthcoming and hard to get.

This is a gorgeous resort nestled into the Colca Canyon, with its own spa and thermal baths. The service was friendly and professional, and rooms were well-designed and comfortable. The restaurant food was good overall, as was bar service. Great extra facilities, like an Alpaca farm and information centre with great educational material about condors and camelids. We'll be coming back for a longer stay to take advantage of the horse riding and hikes.

A wonderful place to relax after a long and active trip to Peru. The breakfast was a great start to our day and the hot pools were welcome at the end of our days. Tours and transport could be booked and were well organised. Plenty of interesting walks were nearby and the information available on the condors and on site farm was well presented and interesting. We enjoyed walking through the beautiful gardens ……a wonderful 3 night stay was had!

Colca Lodge exceeded all of our expectations in every aspect. We stayed in the panoramic suite to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. The views were breathtaking! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were always making sure we had everything we needed and wanted. Our host Gaudy (not sure of spelling) was superb! The panoramic suite had the thermal bath right at the room which was perfect for us! Definitely made for romantic night under the stars! The food was delicious! The spa experience was so relaxing. There are many activities available on the grounds to do, including fishing which my husband was thrilled. We had the most perfect stay!

It wasn't very handicap accessible. A lot of stairs going into the restaurant, main lodge, and all the rooms. Panoramic suite was 2 story.

This hotel was one of the highlights of our Peru trip. We still talk about it. Amazing property, beautiful grounds and customer-oriented staff. The food, the service, the room (we stayed in the 3 bedroom cottage), the hot springs and the farm across the bridge - loved and enjoyed it all. Great for family too - our kids loved it. Highly recommend!

More outdoor spaces to hang out and read a book with comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas to keep away from the sun. The only comfortable sofas are in the bar. Would have liked other areas around the beautiful property.
