Beautiful location by the canyon river. Very picturesque and relaxing. The spa was exceptional and the thermal baths completely relaxing.

The drive from Arequipa! Over 3 hours with 1/2 the drive on terrible roads full of trucks! The other half of the drive was very nice and solitary and actually went up to 16,000 feet!

Beautiful property right on the river with great views and hot springs. Very clean room with comfortable beds and helpful staff.

The morning of check out was a bit chaotic, as everyone is trying to eat breakfast and check out at the front desk at essentially the same time, since the lodge is on the tourist route into the Colca Canyon and everyone is on a tour. So the front desk staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and the small parking lot and narrow road becomes cluttered with tour vans and taxis and guests all trying to figure out where their luggage is and which vehicle to get into. But this is probably typical of the area and little to be done about it.

Our family of 5 stayed at Colca Lodge for 2 nights over Semana Santa. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and provided with a welcome drink while we waited for our room to be ready. We found the rooms to be comfortable with amazing views. The property is well cared for and staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant breakfast was excellent and surpassed our expectations. We loved the made-to-order eggs, espresso machine (there’s hot chocolate too!) and variety offered. Dinners were equally as delicious with our favorite meal being the rocoto relleno. The grounds of Colca Lodge are well maintained and beautiful. For families with children, there is a small play structure and playhouse for them to enjoy. The hot springs were a nice addition and we were fortunate to enjoy them before the rain moved in. A few of the members in our group visited the alpaca farm, which is a nice addition to the property as well. Bottom line: We are so happy we split the Arequipa/Colca valley portion of our trip into two stays so that we could really enjoy the Colca area without the early morning wake ups and long bus rides crammed into one day. Colca Lodge is beautiful and worth the visit!

There are really only a couple of things that could have made the stay even better. We didn't realize that the parrilla dining option near the hot springs was something you'd have to ask for in advance. Knowing that information, we would have asked them to fire it up while we were enjoying the springs and then eat afterward. So perhaps a little more communication on behalf of the property. Also, it would be really nice if they'd offer drink service "springs side" so we didn't have to get out of the hot water and wait at the bar, soaking wet. Lastly, it would be great if one could arrange spa treatments either via WhatsApp or email. We waited one day until we were back in our room to call and by then, all massage times we booked.

One if the most (if not the most!) beautifully located hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were amazing - so professional and attentive especially when they helped me find a necklace I had lost in the spa. My room and the hot springs were spotless with stunning views of the canyon. You can also really see the stars at night. The informative exhibitions beside the alpaca farm was a nice touch. The lomo saltado and ceviche at the restaurant were delicious, as were the cocktails and desserts. I had such a wonderful and memorable stay here and will definitely recommend it to anyone I know travelling to Peru. It is particularly rewarding staying here and getting a massage after completing a 2+ day hike!

The suite we had was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the thermal pools and the alpaca farm. The gardens were really beautiful with staff working so hard to keep them looking pristine. Overall a wonderful environment.

The food was really over-priced and poor which was a shame since this is a captive audience and the lodge should showcase better food for visitors. We were also surprised to be summoned to pay our bill before we had even stayed in the lodge - they already had my credit card details from Booking.com so there was no chance of us running away without paying. Also, we had no response for more than 48 hours to our email enquiring about transfers from Arequipa - this didn’t bode well for our stay.

The lodge is very beautiful with amazing scenery of the river and surrounding mountains. The private hot spring is great for 2 people and relaxing. We can see the whole lodge from the tub and balcony. The room was a spacious, comfortable duplex with upstairs bedroom and 2 bathrooms. There isn’t heating except for a wood fireplace in the living room but it was warm enough without using the fireplace. The small alpaca/llama farm in the lodge was cute and fun to see. The exhibition centres on camelids and condors are small but well done. The restaurant also has great food and cocktails.

Only small soap bars provided for shower which seems common practice across Peru. We’re just used to liquid shower gel which is more convenient to use. It was a minor thing.

They have a nice playground/obstacle course for kids

Unfortunately, I was not able to fully enjoy all the facilities and services due to high altitude sickness. While oxygen was available, I was only given it for less than 10 minutes—perhaps I could have stayed longer if I had asked, but the receptionist seemed to rush me back to my room. The next morning the restaurant was very crowded during breakfast

This hotel was just excellent in everyway. Staff perhaps are the best asset of the hotel. Lovely people, very professional, helpful and very friendly. The hotel is based in a nice part of the Colca Canyon, excellent to go for long, quiet and beautiful walks.

The room (junior suite in my case), view, restaurant service, hot springs and spa were very good. I also enjoyed the interpretation centre (and alpacas). The recommended treks are good for a 2-night stay.

The food was okay and was a bit limited for a 3-night stay, and I felt the front desk service in providing general information on the area and options on how to get to-from the hotel not forthcoming and hard to get.

This is a gorgeous resort nestled into the Colca Canyon, with its own spa and thermal baths. The service was friendly and professional, and rooms were well-designed and comfortable. The restaurant food was good overall, as was bar service. Great extra facilities, like an Alpaca farm and information centre with great educational material about condors and camelids. We'll be coming back for a longer stay to take advantage of the horse riding and hikes.
