A s a solo traveler, grand view hotel worked very well because of its location. Walkable distance from subhash chawal, next to a taxi stand . The staff Kuldeep helped me get a taxi driver Vikas, who took me to Daiyankund peak and khaijjiar . A safe driver and he intern got me guide Rashid Khan for hiking Ganji Pahari and to navigate Chamba. Entire staff at the restaurant were always very welcoming and Manager Mr. rana always ensured I was well taken care of. Server Akshay became my buddy during breakfast and dinners. I enjoyed my visits to Spa where Monica and Nadeem took good care of my requests from massage to pedicure to facial etc There is a friendliness in the staff that is cultivated by owners specially Mrs Radhika who visited every guest every night at dinner . Food - home Ike , not too oily and spice level just right Variety - amazing I was able to avail other services like laundry etc as well. One more point to note is the view - pir pinjal mountain range in front of you every morning ! Overall a very comfortable trip , a very memorable trip

Beautiful property with character- the premises has an old world charm from the colonial era. However it’s the people here that take this place to another level - everyone from the owner (the lovely Radhika) to the waiting and cleaning staff, are cheerful, helpful and go out of their way to ensure you’re made to feel like you’re home.

Perhaps better facilities for drivers that bring the guests to the hotel - after hours of driving, it would be nice if the hotel could offer a place for the drivers to freshen up and use washroom facilities.

PROPERTY Peaceful property surrounded by hills at a short distance from the main market at Gandhi Chowk. STAFF The staff is excellent, courteous and attentive. The room service is excellent & fast as well. A special mention to Mr. Shyam. ROOM We stayed in a Superior Room with Private Balcony which was spacious & cosy for 2 people. FOOD Breakfast & dinner was included as part of our booking at the Tiffins restaurant. The buffet had various options everyday (along with a live counter) offering Indian & continental cuisine. There is live karaoke too at dinner every night.

The crowd could be better as there were some drunk people at the restaurant one night creating a ruckus.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. Firstly, its central location made exploring the area a breeze. But what truly took my breath away was the magnificent view of the Dhauladhar range right from my window. The customer service and hospitality were exceptional. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. What stood out the most was the personalized treatment given to every guest. It made me feel truly valued and appreciated. And then there was the food. The proprietors - Ashish and Radhika Chadha, in a gesture of genuine hospitality, prepared Gujarati khichdi and kadhi for us for dinner. It was not only delicious but also a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect blend of convenience, breathtaking views, and unparalleled hospitality.

The room had a panoramic view of the mountains. Hospitality was very personalized and warm. The property was very well maintained, both the heritage section and the new section. The greenery and flowers everywhere were a feast for the eyes.The owner made it a point to interact with guests during the dinner which came free and had live music. Wonderful experience.

Nothing. I can't find anything that was not to my liking.

Though an old property, the staff and the owners were very courteous, very helpful and caring. God bless them. It was the most memorable and pleasant part of our tour. They made us feel at home and at the same time, made us feel that we are on our pleasure to stay.

Some improvements in bath and toiletries.

The service was fantastic. All the staff went out of their way to help us. The food was fantastic.

Our room was just below the activity centre and it was very very loud. The music stopped at 10pm, but if you like an early night, do not stay on the 4th floor

Everything exceeded my expectation. The lights in the room have scope for improvement.

Rooms large and well appointed - view from room was epic (when clear) - hood selection of buffet food - staff incredibly helpful and friendly

Would be good if more of the facilities were free to access, like the sauna
