It's a perfect location. On one side is the Wallowa Tramway, and on the other side is the Pack Station. The mini golf course is so fun and inexpensive, and there is another mini golf course across the street from the tramway. We could have walked to Wallowa Lake, but we drove the other end (nearest to Joseph) where there is a beach.

The only thing I didn't like is the pool isn't heated, but I still got in it. The hot tub isn't too hot, so that was great.

The chalets are a great location, at the south end of the lake, walking distance to the south lake access and marina, mini golf, ice cream, tram, old lake town family feel. Super helpful and friendly staff! Fun pool, overall a great stay. Walked to the go karts one night and got Thai food from the food cart there! Highly recommend springing for the tram, which is literally right next door to the property.

Our only challenge was having bats in the condo at night! Living in the midst of nature often brings nature indoors, but the owners were very responsive at night, and offered a different accommodation. We declined and were able to shoo the bats out, and were so tired from our fun beach day that we slept just fine!

The location was good, close to the town, but not in it. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I liked that there were enough towels so I had a proper size one for when I washed my hair. The little ice cream store on the property was nice to visit in the evening. All in all, a very nice two night stay.

The only thing I didn't like was soft pillows, but that's just a personal preference. I used two soft ones to replace a firm one.

The location was beautiful and calm. There were deer every morning and the coffee shop and liittle store on premise was very convenient. We enjoyed quiet evenings, hot tub after long days on the lake and strolling around the campground and down to the lake with our coffee in the morning. The staff of the property were warm, welcoming and helpful Every interaction we had with staff and other guests were just plain delightful. 11/10

Honestly, we loved everything so much that we - after one night- already booked out another week next year to come back.

Eagle Cap Chalets has one of the best locations at Wallowa Lake! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Norma at the front desk gave us excellent recommendations for things to do while visiting Joseph. The pool was the perfect temperature for the time of year! Our room was very clean and spacious. The price point was perfect for a motel and much more competitive than renting a house for the weekend. We rented multiple rooms. The staff worked to ensure our rooms were located next to each other.

Nothing. It was outstanding. We stayed at the Eagle Cap years ago. The rooms have since been updated and are spotless. It worked well for our family of adult children.

Easy to find, checked in quick, room is right by the Tram, Lake, Restaurants and easy walks all around to State Park. Room could have been a few 100 sq ft larger but we managed. It was neat clean, great updates and decor, beautifully redone old hardwood floors, fridge, coffee maker and sink added to our breakfast convenience. Fantastic A/C heat split plus an overhead fan. Chairs were out front or on decks to sit out and enjoy the views and tall trees. Everyone was nice and the bed was a super comfortable King.

Can't change the size of the cabins but I wish our room was a touch larger. There are bigger cabins we just opted not to book those. It would have been great to have some shelves in the Bathroom over the toilet to lay out your essentials. Otherwise it was so cute and well decorated.

We have stayed in the condos at this resort before. This time we had a room with a king bed. The room was fabulous! It was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. This room was either new, or it was completely and tastefully remodeled. We appreciated the refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. We were pleasantly surprised to have an air condition, so we were able to have air movement. There's a small table with two chairs to enjoy the morning coffee, quiet time. It was easy walking distance to the Lodge and the camping sites.

We would have liked some paper napkins near the coffee maker. Fortunately, we had brought some, but we are neat freaks and obviously would not want to use the clean, new, fresh white towels to wipe up any drops of coffee. This is very picky and we can certainly bring our own napkins to the room, but a few paper napkins would be a nice touch.

Large comfortable room, nice location close to the lake. The motel has a nice feel to it, on well-kept grounds. The coffee at the coffee shop was excellent.

At checkin we were told there would be cinnamon rolls at the coffee shop at breakfast but this was unfortunately not the case as they had a problem with delivery. It was a shame that there were very few alternative items available. Also, there are not many dinner options nearby.

Vacation too short.
