Overall we enjoyed our stay at El Huacachinero. Somethings we liked: 1. The highlight was it was quiet and relaxing. There were not many people in this hotel as the majority probably opt for a cheaper accomodation or stay where the party is. We were not here to party. Rather we want to relax and enjoy the scenery. This was the best place to do that. If you want to party you can still have the option to do that but come back to a nice quiet hotel for a good night sleep eventhough the hotel is sandwiched between two party hostels that had loud music and drunk people until 2am. 2. We had the whole pool to ourselves with the sand dune in the background. It was amazing. We were able to soak in the desert scenery while in/around the pool without loud noise and crowd. The best hotels/hostels are one block away from the Oasis lagoon and not around the lagoon. The ones around the lagoon looks older. 3. The hotel was modern, comfortable, and it has a character. The hotel is much nicer in person because on the pictures it looks older and more basic for some reason. Get the room by the pool. It has good view and terrace. 4. The staff was nice. 5. Check out it at 12 which is later than most other accommodation. We were able to store our belongings after check out and hang out by the pool.

Somethings that could be improved: 1. The pool jet is on only at certain times. It'll be nice to turn it on when you see people hanging out in/around the pool. That way the water is constantly moving and the debree from the trees doesn't just linger around. 2. One of the couch in the room is dented in and looks broken. Too scared to sit on it. We only use it to put our bags. 3. The room could use a painting or two it was big and plain. 4. For the higher price compared to many other hotels/hostels around, it will be great if we can get more/nicer toiletries and/or breakfast. We only get a soap bar and a few sachets of shampoos. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast. Nothing special. We need the small towels in the bathrooms for multi-purpose.

This property is so beautiful! The grounds and corridors are scenic and well designed. The room itself was very plain and basic but very clean and reasonably comfortable. The beds felt very plasticy. We had four singles and this met our needs. I was hesitant to stay as other reviews mentioned the late night noise, but we found the site quiet and calming. The location was within easy walking distance of restaurants and our tour meeting spot. The staff stored our suitcases. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh.

The stuff were super helpful and polite although the level of English fluency made it somewhat hard to communicate. We were given a WiFi password code but it only worked for three of ourfive phones.

The hotel is in an amazing location - walkable distance to everywhere, yet keeping the surroundings somewhat quiet in comparison to other hotels. The staff was able to speak perfect English so the communication was very smooth. The pool and the restaurant were very clean. The breakfast was also very nice, with a variety of sweet and savoury options.

Unfortunately even though the hotel was on a calmer street, the noise was still quite noticeable, making the night rest very difficult. Also, the staff in the restaurant preferred payment in cash but did not have a change back.

This hotel is perfect for a family or people who want a more quiet place to relax. The pool is gorgeous, the staff were so kind and helpful. They stored our luggage after checking out and allowed us to use the pool all afternoon. Breakfast was delicious and plenty. Kids found access to the dunes behind the pool, and spent the extra time playing there. Our favorite place we’ve stayed in Peru!

Wifi was hard to connect to when we first got there, but was resolved quickly.

In general, it’s hard to find budget-friendly, quality accommodations in Huacachina, and this one stood out as one of the better options in the area, though the price wasn’t exactly low. The room was very basic and not soundproof, and the breakfast was also quite simple. Considering the price per night, I expected more. Nonetheless, I had a good night’s sleep, which somewhat made up for it.

The room was comfortable, had AC and was clean. Good wifi and hot shower. The pool area was very nice and relaxing. They let us use it after checkout which was handy as we had to wait all day for our Peru Hop bus.

It is VERY pricey for what you get. We stayed in much nicer places for less while traveling around Peru. Breakfast does not have much variety. Our room was right beside reception, so it was quite noisy at times.

This is a lovely hotel just off the lake area. During the day it is lovely a peaceful around the pool with great views of the dunes but very noisy at night. The staff are all very helpful and friendly.

The Wild River Hostel is right next the hotel and the music went on until 6:00am our first night. This is no fault of the hotel but perhaps better glazing would help. Also a room safe and hair dryer would be helpful.

The location was great and the hotel facilities were as well. We didn't have time to go into the pool, but we saw it been cleaned in the morning and the area looked nice and clean. The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We were staying on the first floor, and there were no noises or anything that bothered us. The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay and especially the location and the poolside patios. You could also hike directly up the large sand dunes directly out the back patio.

We had 2 rooms and only 1 had AC although they were supposed to be the same. Although the fans worked OK, it can get hot so AC would have been better.

it was super clean and the staff were wonderful. nice looking pool and common areas. it was a great area - far enough away from the party hostels but close still to restaurants. our room was air conditioned with a private bath and was very comfortable.

the only reason they lost points for cleanliness is because there were a lot of ants in the bathroom. I’m not sure if that can be avoided. also, although breakfast was nice in the restaurant, dinner was not great. be sure to bring ear plugs - even though it’s less of a party hostel than the others, parties are still happening until dawn.
