Firstly I have read reviews which state the hotel is rundown and generally the reviews are not very positive. Yes, the facilities have seen better days and the large portion of the hotel is unused and I will go as far to say abandoned, however you must put this into context, you cannot arrive in Ambon and expect the Ritz Carlton (like Bali). Ambon is very different and there simply isn't the tourism to generate the much needed revenue to refurbish etc. The room did smell a bit when we walked in, but that was due to the humid environment and we opened the patio door and slept with them open, which fixed the issue.That said, this hotel is probably the best choice when staying in Ambon. The city centre (where there are newer hotels) is chaotic and noisy with traffic, whereas the Natsepa is quiet and just a short motorbike ride away from some amazing beaches and interesting places to visit. We rented a bike (hotel can arrange) 200k per day, and really got to travel the island and were literally the only non Indonesian people wherever we went. Hotel can arrange airport pick up and drop off, which was 250k each way (cheaper than Grab!). The Natsepa staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay the best possible. Nothing was too much trouble. I broke some shoes and they provided glue to fix. We are both vegetarian and food was ok, with a bit limited choices (as there were lots of meat options) but the menu was good with options from around the world and they made vegetarian options for us. We would stay again, as I said, for us the hotel is in a good location to explore Ambon.

The entertainment by the pool in the evening. Very boring samey songs, and far far far too loud!! The good thing was it ended at 9 pm! (This was the evening of Chinese New year) Why not have acoustic music? (No amplification!!) , traditional indonesian music? Folk music? Not reinterpreted American pop muzak.

Beautiful location with views over the small beach to a beautiful turquoise sea. There is nice pool near the beach. The staff were truly wonderful. They were so nice, and very helpful with everything and really made our stay enjoyable. The restaurant is open air with a view of the sea and the food options were quite varied and everything we ate there was delicious. The restaurant was a big highlight. There is also a small gym available.

We were there in the monsoon season and a large tree had floated onto the small beach. Therefore we couldn’t use the beach. However, the staff were already in the process of cutting it up and removing it, so by the time you read this review it will probably be gone.

Probably the best place to stay in Ambon if you want to explore the Maluku islands. Perfect location in a quiet area Close to the main city Kota Ambon Close to harbors to visit other islands (Saparua, Ceram, Haruku) Super friendly staff Spacious and clean room Comfy large bed Nice pool area Great food (local dishes)!

I was there only for short stay so I didn’t really experience all the outside amenities but overall the hospitality of the staff and the room are so far so good!

The bathroom for this hotel might need to be taken care of. Although it’s clean overall, you can still see few molds here and there on the tiles and the shower covered in white buildup that need to be scrubbed.

Paradise found! My stay at The Natsepa in Ambon was pure magic. Stunning location, gorgeous and spotless rooms, and incredibly comfortable. The outstanding service and friendly staff made it truly exceptional. Highly recommend!

The hotel is simply great. All the staff were always very friendly and helpful. If you needed something or something needed to be exchanged, it was done immediately and properly. You were always treated with respect. And we definitely love the live music every evening. We would be happy to come back again.

The staff here are super professional and helpful : reception, room cleaning, restaurant, without exception, everyone was SO nice. The room was spacious and comfortable. Water was very hot if you let it run a while. We had a relaxing few stays in between ferries and flights. A nice view. The bonus is a great chef in the restaurant, everything we ordered was delicious.

The place is magnificent and very well maintened. The swimming pool is super beautiful, the restaurant is very good. We will return there next time

During 8 days no hot water in the shower as promised and the sink drain should be repaired. It would be good to mention that there is no motorbike rental as the resort as mentioned.

great pool! best in ambon anyway! beach is fine, right at the beach. The restorant is very very nice food is great! very kid friendly. Breakfast was super well done. the congeirge was great and helped organise to get me to the dive sites, great diving btw, north shore. But the hotel can advise and arrange for you.

We had a broken AC in the room, the staff tried to fix but could not
