Location along with small view balcony a real treat. It’s a small unit but nicely fine with private bedroom and bath in back separated by glass wall with curtains and door. Also, a separate air conditioner and heater. The kitchenette and counter eating area works. A small living area with sofa and reí chairs has a small small balcony looking out over the canal. Unit is a rectangular space about 13 feet wide and perhaps 40-50!feet long divided as described above. When we bumped into staff they were always helpful. Be sure to go to Les Halles market and eat at The Marcel. Looks like the Suites Marcel will be demolished soon with a new building featuring The Marcel as a rooftop venue. A 19 room hotel. And a brassière on the ground floor.

Steps up and down annoying. We are very fit people. If you are out of shape or suffer limitations go not stay here as the stairways are steep and 52 steps to our unit.

Great suite, great location We would come back in a heartbeat, however I forgot a cherished jewel in the suite, I realised and asked to have it sent to my hotel and I offered to cover full cost/insurance , timing is sensitive but the manager asked me to organise the expedition with a french courrier company. Complicated with a british mobile phone number, etc Loved location, super convenient, Sete very cool place !

Not sure customer service in France is so great, once you have an issue and that you need resolved. Always complicated & stressful. Also washing machine not working, no warning. Clothes got very soaked and we had to finish all by hand. Also check out is 10am during your vacation, when you would expect a 11am check out especially when check in is 3-4pm

PROS -best possible location to visite Sete -view on the canal -small garden/terrace -Nespresso machine -extremely clean, comfortable and luxurious -Occitane toiletries -had both a bath and a bath with nice bathrobes -perfect communication with host who provided all the details necessary for a flawless self-checkin via WhatsApp -highly recommend to eat at The Marcel, the one star Michelin restaurant around the corner -good aircon, comfortable pillows, pitch black room -perfect WiFi -easy parking

CONS -parking at the underground parking du Canal is the only option. It’s convenient but will cost you €20+ per day. It’s secure however and 300m from the apartment. -20€ for breakfast seems excessive when you have 3 bakeries less than a minute walking distance from the flat

Loved the two rooms and common area between. The apartment was nicely decorated and spacious. It was conveniently located on the canal. We loved having the small outdoor area for sitting. Loved the bath tub! It was a quiet apartment and one that we would likely revisit.

We were only left half a roll of toilet paper and between 4 people that was not enough. We also didn't get any dish towels so we had to use bathroom towels. We had to buy extra pods for the coffee as we were only allocated 4 which got us through the first day between 4 people.

This is a great apartment, fantastically located right in the middle of Sete. Furnished and decorated very stylishly, and extremely comfortable. It was cleaned daily. Be aware there are a number of suites, and booking.com doesn't name them so whilst the information was accurate, it might be worth looking on the Marcel Suites website in case you can figure out exactly which of the (five?) apartments you are booking (ours was the Suite Images Singulaires) - we hadn't clocked that this one did not have a view over the canal, but actually we were really happy because it meant it was very quiet at a very busy/noisy time of year! There is a small terrace sandwiched between the main apartment and the second bedroom, and whilst it's great to have some outside space, it has no view of anything and there is an extractor (from the kitchen below) which slightly takes the edge off it (although we got used to it over a week). Also don't expect to be able to do much in the galley kitchen. The equipment that is there is really good quality but there isn't much of it (eg only two dinner plates for a 4 person apartment, no colander for draining pasta, no lemon squeezer). But we had a great week there and it's a brilliant, comfortable base in the centre of town. NB we parked in the recommended car park which was very convenient but is pricey - 22 euros from about 10 hours (so overnight basically). But otherwise you have to spend time finding cheaper on street parking which was tough in August so we figured it was worth it for the convenience at the end of a day out and and easy departure the next morning. We'd definitely stay at The Marcel again if we come back to Sete.

Very decent room and super comfortable bed, nice toiletries provided. Great view of the canal, nice little balcony.

The room was dusty, cleaning wasn’t great. Fridge made a noise at night, and one of the roller blinds was missing the cord so we couldn’t use it. A lot of stairs to access the room not good if one has luggage and it is self check in.

Perfect overnight stay in Sète with views over the canal. Located close to the shops and restaurants. Stylishly appointed flat with everything you need and great aircon. Parking close by.

Consider leaving the heavy suitcase in the car. The stairs may not be for everyone.

Nicely decorated and a very comfortable room. That said, I would stay one floor up if returning. On the first floor we were right over the restaurant entrance below.

The first floor rooms are right over the restaurant. This was not really a sound issue, but we kept the windows closed to avoid the smell of food from below.

Perfectly located with easy access, spotlessly clean, perfect for a small family, and beautifully decorated. Thoughtful touches like quality soaps and shampoo added an extra layer of comfort. We’ll gladly come back!

Nothing but for people with limited mobility the stairs could be an issue
