Los Portales is a beautiful, hotel located on the Plaza del Armas across from the Cathedral. It is quite the place. It is a fully renovated and very historical hotel. The sitting areas overlooking a beautiful courtyard have original paintings of the Spanish aristocracy from the early era and art objects that go back to the early settling of the region by the Spanish. Our room was spacious, light and airy and in the back upon our request, so it was very quiet. The indoor and outdoor dining areas are beautiful. The buffet breakfast is quite extensive with many hot meal choices and hot and cold cereal options with a variety of fresh fruits, juices and yogurts. Their dinner choices were delicious, as well. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. Jose and Junior in the reception area were the best ever and gave us so much good information to facilitate our stay. We are very happy we stayed there.

I had stayed at this property when I was little, with my family when it was Hotel de Turistas de Piura. Even though it has been renovated and changed, the ambiance and the service is excellent. The floor and the balcony in the inner patio look the same. Love it. Our room was spacious, the king size bed very comfortable and there was ABUNDANT hot water in the shower. Very clean. The food at the restaurant was delicious (had two dinners and one “menu” for lunch. All very good and friendly service by the waiters. The front desk staff was friendly and professional as were the security at the front entrance.

As a girl traveling alone and first time in America I really rely on people helping me out. The hotel staff was so nice and friendly, there to help out in a very respectful way and it made me feel very safe. They offer service to drive you and come to get you by car with safe and respectful drivers. The breakfast was sooo good and my room was sparkly clean. I have really nothing negative to say except the gym being quite small and the center of the building being under reconstruction (but that’s only temporary). So all in all: Definetly recommend to come here, especially if you depend on staff to help you with things like I do. I have to mention one staff member that I have especially in mind here: Jose helped me out with A LOT of logistics and was so friendly and respectful, arranged everything I needed no questions asked (transport, tips, everything). Really outstanding personal service from Jose and made me feel so welcome greeting me by name and making sure I got to my meetings on time with transport around Piura (I was traveling for work)

My room didn’t really have a window (only inwards towards the hall) which surprised me, and the centeral area was under construction and the bar seemd close. Otherwise perfect. Very clean.

Very pleasant and comfortable hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean, with luxurious linens and fluffy towels. Loved the pool and restaurant area. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The front desk staff disturbed me twice late at night to sort out credit card issues. One (the room charge) should have been done on arrival and the other was related to signing for dinner on my room when this should have been charged at checkout and in fact it was when I told them I would pay on check out.

Great breakfast and friendly staff in a prime location right by the Plaza de Armas. The rooms are clean and offer everything you'd expect for the price. While it's a bit more expensive compared to nearby options, it’s worth it if relaxation is your priority.

Their airport service is a nice extra, but my experience was a bit chaotic, so it might be something they should reconsider offering.

This is the only hotel I stay at when traveling to Piura. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Enjoy the restaurant, room service, and on-site bar! The location is also great, across from the park and close proximity to my local destinations.

Showers always seem to drain very slowly and back up into the shower a bit.

The interior of the hotel was very nice. Location was great, and it was easy to catch a taxi. Jose at the front desk was helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel felt very secure.

Wifi was excellent in public areas but didn't work 80% of the time in our room. The bed was the most uncomfortable we slept in during our month long trip to Peru.

I stayed in Los Portales for almost 2 weeks and had the best time. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind at all times. I received all kind of attention and best customer service! The breakfast is very good. The pool is fantastic and the food at the restaurant is delicious! I would totally come back

The room was exceptionally comfortable, just what we were looking for. The bathroom had a hot strong shower and the breakfast was really good. Staff were very friendly and let us stay in the communal area until our night bus.

WiFi was incredibly slow in all areas - both the room and reception. Around 1-2Mbps. Minibar was empty. Finally we asked for a taxi to the bus terminal but neglected to check the price - it was 30PEN which is very expensive for the short journey. Slightly soured the end of a wonderful stay.

This hotel is located right in the center of the historic district. The breakfast was delicious and included regional food, which I was curious to sample. The staff were very nice. I would recommend anyone traveling to Piura to stay here!
