The location of the Weyanoke Hotel in Farmville, VA was wonderful! I was able to walk to restaurants and coffee shops. The staff were very accommodating and helpful when I experienced a problem with the lock on the door of my room. The free breakfast on Friday morning was an added bonus and was delicious.

The parking lot is not convenient. While it is easy to drive to around the corner from the hotel there is no elevator from the lot to the hotel. An elevator would be helpful when taking luggage out of the car and to the hotel. Walking with luggage from the parking lot to the hotel is awkward and cumbersome. If you are traveling with more than one person, I would recommend to unload the car at the entrance before parking your car. When I first arrived to my room, the door lock was broken and I was unable to lock my door after I entered the room. I contacted the front desk and they moved me to a new room with no problem.

The location is excellent, directly across from Longwood and only a couple blocks from the main street and nearby shops and restaurants. Directly adjacent to the trail as well. Ample parking behind the building. Large (very) recently renovated room - big comfy beds, lots of pillows, nice sheets and towels, giant shower. All very clean and fresh. Very quiet at night. The rooftop bar (Catbirds) was a very pleasant surprise - almost certainly the best view in town, with nice cocktails and a bar menu serviced from the restaurant downstairs. Complimentary breakfast was good and generous.

We were on the first floor of the new wing so our view was eye-level on the parking lot. I probably would have preferred to be on one of the higher floors, but we got an excellent rate on a very nice room, so it's not a complaint.

This hotel is a gem! It's old but very nice. The room was cute, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom and shower are huge. The receptionist was very sweet and helpful and even called our room the make sure everything was fine. We enjoyed our stay there and look forward to staying there again sometime.

The breakfast wasn't that great, but at least it was "free." There is a collage across the street, so it's not very quiet if that's what you're looking for. It didn't bother us much though. Since the parking is in the back (with steps), it would be nice to have an entrance in the rear of the hotel instead of having to carry your luggage up the steps and all the way around to the front. Even with all that, our stay was pleasant, and we will return.

The hotel was so close to Main St so easy for shopping and restaurants. The room was large and so was the bathroom. I liked the Molton Brown bath products, and the robe. Liked the complimentary fruit infused water, coffee and cookies in the lobby.

There was some wear and tear in the rugs in both the public areas and our room. The rug in the room had a a dark spot that probably could come out with a rug shampoo or they need to replace. The ceiling looked like it needed repair. For the price , I expected daily room service.

The Weyonoke is a beautiful historical Hotel. It seems to have been recently renovated and beautifully appointed while retaining its historical charm. We loved the spacious room, the pleasant and helpful staff, location with just a short walk to everything including restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was great, We couldn't have been more pleased with the Weyonoke and we will definetly return.

Restaurants in the Weyonoke were closed on sunday and monday but alternatives were close by.

We come here once a year. This year our room was located on the 1st floor and I could smell a scent of mildew. It wasn’t bad but I noticed it. It’s an older hotel so it’s unavoidable. We have always stayed on the 3rd floor and the next time I come there I will stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Overall the property is great, we love the bathroom and the size of the shower. The bed and pillows are great. It’s a great value for the money.

The 1st floor smell of an older building. Read what I said above.

Great location & enjoyed the restaurants. Beautiful restoration in hotel as well.

The front desk, both check-in and check-out were not friendly. The woman who worked late night however was helpful & went out of her way to get additional towels. I did find it interesting that ice buckets weren’t in room. The front desk told us they no longer supplied bc of theft. I would think a hotel of this price would at least offer a plastic ice bucket. They sent us to bar & filled a plastic grocery sack with ice for us…lol. It worked, but even a Tru hotel has a plastic bucket.

We had double queen size beds and they were comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Parking was ok because I was able to park in the handicap parking and it was close to my room.

My main complain was that the garbage had not been picked up eventhough my daughter spoke to the housekeeping lady and after being there 4 days, it was really stacking up. The receptionist told me to tie the garbage up and put it outside our room. That was unacceptable to me. Also, it was 4 women in that room so we had requested clean towels but did not get them until the night before we left.

The exterior look kept with the historical view of the town. It was clean, quiet, and quaint. Employees Emily and Summer were very nice. Emily helped me deal with an issue that stemmed from booking.com and was an absolute Saint with her patience and professionalism. I was honestly more disappointed in the reservation process with booking.

The parking lot. Must admit, though, that I am out of shape, and I loathe the heat/humidity. The parking lot is to the rear of the building, and you have to navigate stairs from the bottom lot to the upper lot. If you have anything heavy or luggage that needs wheeled, you can do so out front and up the ramp, but you can not from the parking lot unless you walk the alley and come up the other side street. The alley, I imagine, would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

The room was lovely. Comfortable bed, unique and bright decor, great location. EV charger is a nice touch.

This would have been the perfect stay had it not been for the surprise $75 pet fee. I blame booking.com more than the hotel, since it did not explain this fee when I booked. Despite being a pet friendly hotel, pets aren't allowed in all the rooms, and the room I booked did not actually allow dogs, even though this wasn't mentioned on booking.com. Neither was the $75 pet fee that had to be applied to my $78 room.
