It is significantly more than a hotel, it is a very large resort, with a completely private beach, a very large swimming pool next to the beach (warning: that swimming pool is not heated, so it was quite cold in May), a Spa complex with a very nice and long indoor (heated) swimming pool, and several also very nice and large spa baths outside (these ones with warm water). The Spa reservation system ensures there are only a few guests at any time, no large crowd, and children aren't authorized in the Spa complex unless the weather is bad. The restaurants were excellent, I particularly recommend to have lunch next to the large outdoor pool, but the other two restaurants and the breakfast are excellent. Very nice room, loved the large private terrace. Everything was top notch. We had a small issue with our shower (rain shower stuck), and it was fixed very promptly. All the staff was super nice. We didn't play golf, but you can use one of the freely available bikes to cycle around the golf course, which is very nice (it is a private complex, so no external car).

Inside room maintainence issues:1. Fallen screen precluded access into balcony. 2. Discolored main faucet in bathroom. 3. Discolored countertops. 4. Above bathroom mirror light for which we called maintainence . 5. Really bad service in their cafe dining with inordinately long wait for a pizza, so much so that they deleted the pizza charge. Also, the pizza lacked all ingredients listed for that dish. Additionally it was Undercooked.

Our stay at Verdura was absolutely blissful. We were extremely disappointed to leave. Everything was pretty wonderful; from the staff who all smiled with their eyes and seemed to genuinely care about our stay, to the brilliant facilities (The pool! The spa!). We ate at all of the restaurants and enjoyed every meal. I was particularly fond of Amare and being able to pick your own fish, then watch it go on the grill. My partner loved his swordfish at Zagara. Special mention to the spa ladies who couldn’t have been any more welcoming or helpful. Really lovely. Plus they consistently remembered our names- nice touch! Overall we’re counting down the days to return. Five stars, 110%, 10/10!

This isn’t a complaint but a lovely extra touch would be for a cool cloth on arrival given the heat & need to travel to the hotel.

big pool, not many people around, great service most of the time, excellent golf and tennis facilities; two fabulous golf courses; spa was excellent and relaxing with a warm indoor pool for lengths and three jacuzzis

restaurants hugely overpriced, overall 50% more expensive than best Club Med locations (eg Cefalu) and certainly not 50% better, food average except for breakfast which was excellent and great service, beach is disappointing and no sand on shore only rocks. this should be made clear in presentation and recommend to bring beach shoes; tennis courts a long wxay from accommodation, extra cost of all facilities like tennis, no club events (like friendly football, tennis or ping pong tournaments, shows, etc.); no ping pong table near pool/beach; overpriced excursions (resort quoted 300€ for a taxi to and from Agragento whereas direct taxi quoted €200....).

We were upgraded to a far bigger suite. There were bikes around the resort that could be picked up and dropped off anywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed an early evening cycle around the tarmac paths on the edge of the golf course. Great fish restaurant Amare.

Neither of the best restaurants were available on one of the nights of our stay. We inquired about an afternoon boat trip along the coast. As a special out of season price, we were quoted 700 euros plus 120 euros for fuel!

The location is breathtaking, despite being very windy. Beautiful hammam On a rainy and windy day, we took a dance class and the teacher was great, made it fun and enjoyable

facilities were outstanding. breakfast service (although many guests) was quick and all products constantly available. Having free bikes to ride around the resort was great. Staff were all friendly and would always help. Golf driving range was excellent. The pool bar service was excellent too. It was quick service and regular visits from the staff to the sun loungers

food was hyper expensive, even for lunch. Bar was too quiet in the evenings.

Our stay was outstanding . The staff was impressively good, the food was excellent and the rooms were beautifully appointed. I cannot fault the resort. It is a truly 5 star hotel.

Pool and breakfast were wonderful. Having a bicycle available was a real plus. Two criticisms……. The lighting in the room was not suitable for reading and the tap in the sink ran only hot water.

The whole place is absolutely beautiful. The gardens and surrounding areas are very well maintained. The food in the restaurants is excellent quality although it is a bit expensive.
