Across the board, the staff is excellent. The hotel is fairly new, and everything is clean and well maintained. The pool (heated) and pool area are very inviting, tranquil and comfortable. Porto Vecchio is a short walk from the hotel. There are only 63 rooms, which each overlook the bay of Porto Vecchio. The relatively low number of rooms makes it an intimate affair. The beds are very comfortable. On-site parking is easy and free.

The breakfast offering is a major let-down, and well below the range and quality of other hotels at this price point. Anyone expecting a decent choice of breads, cereals, juices, fruits and drinks will leave disappointed. The hot-food is, as pointed out in other reviews, a disaster. The scrambled eggs, bacon mushrooms and beans are inedible. There is absolutley no luxury on offer at all. The hotel management should consider broadening the range and the area from which it is served. It would also not be too much to ask for proper coffee, fresh oranage juice and eggs/omlettes made to order.

I had an amazing 7-night stay at Golden Tulip Porto-Vecchio. Cozy room with a beautiful view of the sunrise — absolutely stunning! The heated pool was a real highlight, perfect at any time of day. The staff were outstanding — professional, friendly, and always helpful. Vivat to the hotel! I’ll definitely come back again!

The hotel is well located a few minutes walk from both the port/waterfront and the old town which is up a bit of a hill, but still relatively easy to get to by foot for able bodied persons. The views from the rooms (which ALL rooms benefit from) is superb, across what appeared to be a conservation area to the sea beyond, and the grounds of the hotel are nice and green and clearly well looked after. The pool and surrounds are calm and ample for relaxing. Several excellent beaches are relatively nearby but a little drive to get to (20-40 mins) - we hired a car which proved very useful. The staff were excellent, looking after us, being attentive and very helpful whenever we asked for further information. They were personable and friendly and really made our stay feel like a warm welcome. The room and facilities are great (we were in a Jnr Suite), well provisioned and kept very clean, and there are some really comfortable and personal touches with decor, art/ornaments, and the layout of the main ground floor lounge areas making it feel quite homely. All this helped us to relax nicely, along with the buffet style breakfasts which we enjoyed daily at a fairly leisurely time so we didn't feel rushed through.

There was little to criticize, particularly with staff being so helpful. One thing which might be useful to provide to visitors is a hard copy information folder in each of the rooms, perhaps covering any additional services provided by the hotel, copy of menus etc..., and potentially additional info about the area or other things to see and do in this area of Corsica. We did, however, get such info enthusiastically when we asked staff!

Perfect location and fabulous staff. The room, facilities, food, pool were excellent. A short walk to the old town & to the harbour. A peaceful location with stunning views. All the staff were great but Christophe & Coronin deserve a special mention for their friendliness & superb service.

The facilities were incredibly clean and the staff were so friendly and polite. My room was cleaned thoroughly every day and left immaculate. The pool was absolutely beautiful and never too crowded. Breakfast goes on until 10:30am which means you never feel too rushed.

Only thing would be there was no number in the room to call for room service. Other than that everything was perfect.

The hotel is very nice, very clean, the staff - from the reception, to the bar, to the room maintenance staff - is absolutely lovely, extremely positive, accommodating and truly a pleasure to interact with. The view from the balcony is gorgeous, overseeing the swimming pool, a little lake and the sea. Everything we needed was promptly provided (from unlimited filtered water, to beach towels and umbrella, iron, etc.) and we had an absolutely great stay.

There wasn't much to dislike, in all fairness. Perhaps the only thing we missed is more variety in the restaurant menu (for lunch and dinner) which only had a handful of options and was only opened about half of the week. The hotel is also rather pricey, but I suppose it also depends on the timing of the reservation and period.

All rooms have some view to the sea, but it is rather partial view. WC and Shower are separated. Good breakfast with all essentials. They also serve lunch and dinner in the same hotel restaurant - we tried lunch and it was really very good, large & tasty - no need to go to city center.

There is no beach nearby, you need to take a car and drive 20 minutes to the nearest descent beach. Also there is literally nothing to do in the town (apart of eating, but hotel solves it very well as I already wrote above). It is not a problem of the hotel, but really the best you can do in Porto Vecchio is to stay in this hotel and use its pool and other amenities (learn to play petanque for example). However, there is no reason to stay longer then for 1-2 nights.

The staff were so lovely and friendly and very professional; always smiling. The facilities were excellent and clean including the pool. The rooms were comfortable with fantastic views. The food was excellent. All round superb.

We had the opportunity to take part in the 4th anniversary of the hotel. It was just perfect… we had some very nice time there. We left with some very nice memories. Thanks a lot. Cheers to the staff and to the D.J.
